Restaurant Trivia nights needing Smart Phones. I don't want to miss a 2nd Disney Trvia night
When Mom and I went to the movies in Nov to see Zootopia 2. We discovered the Boston Pizza restaurant there was having a Disney Trivia Night on June 6th. The only downside is when I asked if it required a smart device* they said yes. Which I basically don't have I have a old Tablet pre-owned by a cousin. I barley know how to work it.
A friend of mine worked at another restaurant and I'm not sure if it's closed or not now, but some years ago they had a Disney Trivia night and i didn't go so I really don't want to miss this Disney Trivia night at a different restaurant because it might be years before any slow food restaurant I might feel comfortable going too has a Disney Trivia night again and even if that was to happen, it still would require a Smart Phone. I don't want to wait until the fictional "when" , I want to go this year. I don't want to do anything else that day but Disney Trivia night.
My only other option would be to take a laptop to the Disney Trivia night and Dad hates me eating at the best of time at my own computer. He would hate it even more if I was eating over a laptop while playing a game. I mean it could make a statement "I have to bring the laptop because I don't know how to use a smart device/have a smart device to use" and we could go back to having some old methods, at least a mix of screen and writing on paper like my Trivia Night during DSC. To make it fair for everyone.
*The reason I asked at this restaurant was at the same restaurant my friend worked at they had a Harry Potter Trivia night a couple of Octobers ago and when I arrived sans Smart Device, I discovered I needed a Smart Phone to connect to the internet. So a nice employee lend me her phone to play the game.

@Amanda84 the problem is the only deivce I have to use to play a Trivia night would be a laptop because I currently don't know how to use the Smart device.
@Disneywoman What's the barrier to getting a smart phone?
They are expected so much now, it can really limit your independence in various ways if you don't have one. It may be worthwhile to check out prices/family and/or disability discount plans.
@AffyAvo Its I don't know how to use a smart phone. I got a old pre-owned Samungsung tablet (got it from my Cousin 2 Jans ago) I can turn on and I can get it to one screen but i can't get it to home page because there's no home button on it. I have no idea how to use it.. the only other device we have doesn't connect to the inernet.
I never heard of laptops being "smart devices" when most people describe phones/tablets as that. Our only cellphones don't have internet connections and very small screens to read.
And also you don't really know me or my situation very well but my parents are real cheapsteak i mean Dad tried to get me to get a meal for $5 in 2016 when it would have been at least $15.00
@Disneywoman Oh, so your parents just use the older style of cellphones too?
I just find some many places expect apps and authentication via phones now!
@AffyAvo My Dad almost never uses a cellphone unless it's to communicate with either Mom or I, if we're needing to be picked up from either a hospital/clinic (since Dad hates hospital/Clinic parking fees) or a bowling alley if I'm out bowling. We call him who is outside somewhere and we'll start walking to wherever it is, he has parked if it's a hospital/clinic. If it's at the bowling alley, I will call him out in the parking lot and he;ll tell me to go out to the stairs at the entrance and he will pull up to the stairs to let me into the car.
The only time I have a problem with phone authentic is our phones don't have SMS features-Mom didn't get that feature can't get longer videos Hard of hearing so the other option hearing the code isn't an option either and there's no option c)because of "bots can create emails".
