Task Paralysis
Hey guys!
So I’ve been dealing with this for a while but it is making me spiral every night because I have too much to do but no motivation to get it done. Any advice?

I get you.
It can keep you awake at night.
Thinking of the overwhelming amount you need to achieve the next day.
The pressure becomes overwhelming.
What works for me is not thinking about it, listening to music, switching off and then just getting it done.
Not thinking about perfection.
Breaking things down into small and manageable tasks.
Ticking things off a list.
Seeing progress makes me feel confident and less anxious.
Doing the important things first.
I wish you the best 💚

I struggled with this a lot when I was in school and there are days I still struggle with it. For me, I just have to start doing it, whatever “it” is.
I will be crabby and be frustrated and even throw a bit of a tantrum, but once I start the task I start to think more clearly and can get the work done.

This very thing has been the bane of my existence for my entire life. Meds help, but even they lose their effectiveness as you get older. That's been my experience anyway. Some sort of non-negotiable plan or structure is really the only thing that gets me going. My motivation (when I actually have any) is mostly external, because I can't seem to make a plan and stick to it without someone almost forcing me to.
