@Lizz2019 hi, i’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing all of the above, have you considered speaking to  your physician about the lack of sleep and acid reflux. I’m sure they could further assist you if you need the therapeutic treatment perhaps they can advise you on the appropriate mental health professionals.

@Lizz2019 I tend to feel due to my mom tellin’ me at 2 years old that 1. she didnt really Wanna have me-she told her family when they notice she was pregnant that she had cancer, 2 that she had already signed my adoption papers but due to the time I was born apparently hospital staff made her take a look at me or they said they wouldnt release her. Eventually despite woman being present to take me away the papers were destroyed and finally 4. that not only did my father rape her he had his family but he too didnt Wanna me. After learning About all this I assume due to my age for many years any time I remembered the situation I would get what I would refer to it as being a ball of fire in my stomach so much so I would literally have to unbutton my pants and pull down the zipper. This went on for over 17 years til it no longer occured but was diagnosed with acid reflux.

@Lizz2019 I sometimes struggle with this too. I’m so anxious that my stomach is so upset and I’m nauseous. When I haven’t eaten anything and I know I should I try to the most bland small things like a little bit of noodles with just butter and some pepper. Sometimes I just eat some toast or crackers. Sometimes all I can stomach is plain potato chips.

@Lizz2019 I’m really happy you opened up about this because what you’re going through is really hard to cope with and it is not right that you have to face it alone. If you are suffering from panic attacks to such an extent that it becomes difficult for you to eat, sleep, or even stay alone, then it is a clear signal that your body is in an extreme stress reaction. This requires the best medical attention and support possible. Though I am not a physician, the combination of having acid reflux, experience of difficulty in swallowing, and really fast heart beating when waking up, plus being unable to eat for a week is definitely something that should be communicated to and dealt with by a medical or mental-health professional as soon as possible. They will assist you in determining what is wrong physically and at the same time help you to find relief from the anxiety.bYou’re not being dramatic, your body is sending you signals that it cannot tolerate any more stress. Consulting a doctor, therapist, or urgent care center is a very good and justified next move, particularly since your situation is now effecting your most basic daily activities. Try to treat yourself kindly in the meantime. This is a very difficult situation, but the right support can be a game changer. If the situation gets worse or you feel you are in crisis, it would be best to seek immediate help as this is the safest route.

This sounds so exhausting and scary,  your body is trying to tell you it's under too much pressure, even tiny steps like sipping water, taking slow breathes and reaching out to someone can give your system a break

I want you to always remember that every small moment of relief matters a lot and also you don't have to face it all by yourself we all are here ready to support you whenever you need someone to be with or talk things through.

I am so sorry that you are going through this, it sounds like an agonizing experience and the physical symptoms of anxiety, especially when its difficult to swalloe or eat must be so overwhelming for you, and scary even. I can't imagine the exhaustion and frustration where even your body isnt providing a safe space, and those 4:00 am wakeups is an incredibly heavy burden to carry. What you are feeling is completely valid and i hope you know you that.

@Lizz2019 I am so sorry that you feel this way! It must be very exhausting and overwhelming feeling like this. Especially those 4am wake ups. How would you feel about talking to someone about this? Acknowledging that you are anxious is the first step to helping yourself and you have done that. For that you should be proud. There’s many ways you can see a way forward from this. Perhaps a doctor for the acid reflux if that’s something you feel you can do? We are all here to help! Please don’t feel alone. You are amazing for even trying to move forward from this!

@Lizz2019 I’m so sorry you have to go through this, that sounds real exhausting to go through, i mean dealing with anxiety can be really scary, especially when it starts affecting your body and daily life like that, not being able to eat and waking up with your heart racing isn’t a pleasant experience, if you need someone to talk to please reach out to a doctor, therapist or our support staff. Hope you feel better!

@amazingWillow7529 totally agree. There is in fact tools youse can try to do to alleviate and possible place in as I call it remission but it must be done consistently. Altho ‘I have the reflux its become barable where as the anxiety after years of having it and following tools therapists taught in my groups in my day program I was in I now have been free of anxiety attacks for a good 15 years if not more.
