Struggling with self-assurance
Recently Ive noticed that whenever I make decisions, even the easiest and most simplest kind, Im always second guessing myself out of fear of being wrong. I seem to constantly do this whenever Im doing homework, asking for directions, or honestly whatever it may be, and its almost like Im too afraid to go out on a limb or be independent. Ive also noticed that I always ask my friends if Ive done something the right way. Is there a way I can build up a sense of self confidence without feeling super anxious about being wrong?

Struggling with self-confidence in your decisions is common in people with anxiety, but the best thing you can do, is affirm your actions with the mindset, weigh the pros and cons of what you're doing, and ask yourself if this aligns with your morals, or if you think you are doing this right, don't let your anxiety control you, if needed, look at it through a third person perspective. This is a coping method I used for awhile, and althoug it may not work for you, it's something worth trying. You aren't alone, and if you need more support, feel free to check out the Anxiety Support Room, or if you need something more personal feel free to find a Listener for a 1 on 1 chat. :)

One thing I'm personally working on is when I feel the urge to ask, to see what I feel and what I think. It may not come right away and often I have to write it out but it builds confidence when you realize you do have the answers. And, you don't always have to have the answers. It's nice to get control of you life back because when you're always asking others you are putting your life in the hands of someone else and that isn't a very good feeling. For a long time I didn't realize I was even doing it
