Was doing so good for a while
Honestly, I really have been doing great with my anxiety. I've been surprised by it, actually. But today I feel like I'm back to square one. Last night my husband had to go off on a rant about everything he's miserable about. This morning I'm dealing with school bs. Work is just a mess. It's like everything was going pretty well and then all the garbarge around me showed up all at once and said "we didn't forget about you! We're always here, just waiting to make things miserable for you."
This year I have kept telling myself, if I can just make it to "this date" things will be better. There will be less stress. And every time I reach the date I tell myself "if I can just make it to "this next date." It was like I had stress goals. Or de-stress goals.
Now I just want to go back to bed and throw the covers over my head. I need a vacation.
I totally relate to this. I've been trying to overcome a minor crisis for about 2yrs now. I was getting myself back on track and feeling strong. Then COVID came along and knocked me even further back. I'm glad you're here and talking. I feel like I need to connect with people who get it and feel safe to talk. The world is really not fun right now, hopefully this will be helpful for both of us. 💜
