I am mentally weak
My sister said to me you are mentally weak because of my intense social anxiety and many more hurtful things all of which were focused on my social anxiety.

💕💜
You are not mentally weak.
You are struggling and that is fine.
Its not about being strong, it's about accepting help and support when you need it.
Sisters have an annoying habit of saying the wrong things, she's not correct in this situation 💕💜
@rationalPerson1783 I'm really sorry to hear that, Please know that you're not weak for struggling. and you truly don't deserve to be treated that way.
This is a safe space for you, and you matter 🤍 Sending lots of love your way! ❤️❤️

Honey, no matter the situation, no matter what was said or done, no matter the day, week, month, year. You simply are not weak, I say this and sometimes I even feel weak and like nothing. But I popped in here to tell you we might feel weak but we are not, you are strong and you will overcome this time period with all the love and support but it all starts with you honey. Sending lots of hugs and support your way, we all are here for you with open arms through words!💛
I had an ex-husband who said this to me for 15 years. Take a wild guess how that ended. 🙄 Ex in front of his name.
I learned that when someone says something so out of pocket, it's actually a confession on the other person's part. YOU are brave enough to acknowledge your struggles and try and work through them. In my humble opinion, your sister is confessing that she is mentally weak. She is the one who is being closed minded. I view this as weakness because she is not pushing herself to be more open-minded and understanding of the people in world around her. Take it as a confession. Know yourself. And know how far you've come just to be able to say out loud that you're struggling.
I am really sorry she spoke to you that way. When someone we care about says something hurtful especially about something we already struggle with, it can feel heavy and isolating. Social anxiety isn’t a weakness, it’s a challenge many people face, and it says nothing about your character or strength. It sounds like her words may have left you feeling misunderstood or maybe even doubting yourself. If you’d like, you can tell me what those words brought up for you whether it’s sadness, frustration, or anything else. I’m here to listen and you don’t have to hold it in alone.
@rationalPerson1783I'm really sorry your sister said those hurtful things. Social anxiety is a real and challenging experience, and it doesn't make you weak—it shows you're dealing with something difficult. Sometimes people don’t understand what others are going through and say things that hurt. Remember, your feelings are valid, and seeking support from people who understand can make a big difference. Have you thought about talking to a counselor or someone you trust about how this made you feel?
