Today has overall been a better day which I'm very thankful for, but the nights are the worst I feel like crying and screaming at the same time I know it sounds odd for even saying that does anybody have any suggestions on how to relax?

Today, and the past week or longer - I have felt my depression kicking in.

I am trying to beat those thoughts with meditation.

I am trying to overcome isolation with forced socilization.

I feel like I am faking everything.

@blissedNblessed I know it's kind of trite, but sometimes, sometimes, the whole concept of "fake it til you make it" works.
It's okay to fake a little when you don't know what else to do.
I am sorry you are feeling unwell. Sending you hugs.

@ladylazarus1971

you are right about " fake it till you make it"

I am feeling better...day by day, feeling better.

Part of my feels fake for doing it - part of me is thanking myself for doing it because I would be so much worse off if i let myself just slip into the darkness of depression.

I do NOT chose that! :D

@blissedNblessed

This describes exactly how I feel lately as well. If depression were an avalanche and you're just watching it get closer from afar, knowing soon you'll be engulfed in it again

Hi! I'm peppy today and need to calm down... I can't stop talking, I'm jittery and if I could see myself as a third person, I'm bloody chirpy & annoying. Don't tell me breath, I'm breathing, deep and heavy. Trying to keep calm too. Nothing good ever happens when I'm this chirpy. It's usually a bad omen. Do you have any idea how fast I typed the above message? I'm pretty much crossing 160 wpm. I'm going voluntarily stop cause I can't keep up with the amount of words in the head. I can only type this fast, no more. OK bye!

I usually try to be one of the ones that responds to everyone and holds it together for this thread, but today I am utterly in pieces.
I euthanized my cat on Friday, and I can barely hold it together right now.
I hope everyone else is doing better.

@honestBranch5884 Hey there. I am doing okay. Still mourning, but the pain isn't as sharp. My roomate has 2 cats, and we don't plan on increasing the family anytime soon.
Really appreciate you checking in about me. That's super sweet! <3

@DirtyAmethyst Hello there. Nice to meet you!
The online forum here on Cups is amazing, and there's so much to learn, and connections to be made with everyone here.
If you're looking for an in-person support group, I would recommend DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support). They have chapters all over the US. I don't know if that's where you live, though, and if there is an active chapter in your area.
To learn about the group and where there are meetings available, try here:
https://www.dbsalliance.org/site/PageServer?pagename=home

Good luck in your journey to learn all about yourself and how Bipolar effects you.

@Lstn1drlnd I am so sorry you are feeling so badly right now. Is there anything we can do to help? The group support chats here can be really helpful. They make you feel less alone.
Maybe give them a try? Or find a way to perform a little self care? Even a little bit can take you a far way from feeling quite so bad.
We're here for you.
