Exhausted for no good reason

Vent.

It's getting increasingly difficult to tend to my responsibilities. I'm struggling to support myself, my dogs, my family– I can't even keep my room clean, can't consistently floss my teeth or wash my hair. I wake up heavy with dread.

I'm exhausted and I don't even have a job, haven't had one in years. Yesterday I started showing symptoms of a mixed episode (bipolar) and the only thing that's done is decrease my appetite and give me a slight caffeinated feeling. I feel no motivation.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is maybe dyeing my hair.

@Scarf427

I can only imagine the intensity of the struggle you are going through and want to let you know you can connect with a listener online who has direct experience 7cups.com/BrowseListeners for support in a privatised space.

Each day it might help to watch a personal experience on how someone coped with their Bipolar although each struggle varies.

Please keep going and youve made a brave step to share this here.

Kind regards,

Golden

Hey I’ve not had a job for a long time either and just this year got diagnosed . I got diagnosed with other things too. Have had to ask family for help with finances. How are you paying your bills? I notice a lot of people get help from the government. Not sure how it works .

@Scarf427Thank you for sharing how you’re feeling. It’s okay to struggle with daily tasks when things feel overwhelming. Small steps, like planning to dye your hair, can bring a bit of hope. You’re not alone, and it’s okay to ask for help. Keep holding on.

I was in the same boat this summer, but I've been feeling better lately
