Struggling…
I’ve been hearing a voice since I was a kid… it used to be much friendlier… as of late it’s just been threatening me and telling me what to do. I’ve been trying to get help… but I feel like I’m struggling. I have a problem with trust and I have a lot of anxiety. I never wanted to open up about this due to fear but as of late I just really need support and help. I don’t know what to do.
@scorpioNov Hello, do you have someone close to you that might be able to help?
My gf has been trying to help me, but I’m still struggling. I have an appointment coming up. I’ve been trying to get better with opening up more about this. I’ve been experiencing panic attacks a lot and hearing the voice more frequently.
@scorpioNov Do you call someone close to you when you have panic attacks?
@WhySoSeriousFR And try this: when you feel overwhelmed by your panic attack, focus on an object, try to think about only that object
I’ve been through a lot recently, and have dealt with these episodes before alone. But this time, I’m really struggling. I plan to use the advice I’m been seeing on here to finally be brave about getting the help I need.
@scorpioNov That’s amazing how far you’ve gotten, you should be proud!
@scorpioNov ☘️☘️If possible sign up for a therapist and/or talk to your doctor or if you don’t feel comfortable with that then find someone you trust to tell them for you.🍀🍀 But make sure you take care of yourself and get some help ok? 🌸 Make it your priority to figure this out so you can have a better life 🌼
Thank you for your kind words. It’s been so much to deal with alone. It’s nice to finally get this off my chest. I’ve been so afraid to for years. Thank you! 🙏
@scorpioNov No problem! I’m glad you feel a bit better and I know that things will get better for you. This community is here for you ✊👍

Im sorry to hear that you are hearing voices is this related to physiosis is there anything that helps when you hear them? im here to support you through this 😊
@scorpioNov
I never actually heard mine, it was kind of heard in my mind. Still, I kind of know what it was like for me with the heightened emotion and panic levels of anxiety. So, you definitely not alone. I can't call myself a success story really, because I doubt it's ever truly over, but mine hasn't come around in a while.
Not being alone too much is what seemed to help me the most. It's good that you have a gf helping and an appointment. You can get through it, and in pulling for you too.
@scorpioNov
I'm sorry to hear that you have been struggling lately. How long have you been hearing this voice that you mentioned? And what things have been helpful to you in the past?

I found medications and sleep were my primary treatments for internalized voices or introspective thoughts. I would also try to keep the radio or TV on during awake hours as a background noise. Having my dog close by helped my anxiety and loneliness was a trigger for my anxiety. I believe my manifestation of internal dialog was correlated with my anxiety levels. The introspective thoughts seemed to serve a monitoring function trying to keep me out of danger. I know it was just my subconscious mind bleeding into my conscious mind. My senses and feelings were fully accessible by my sub-conscious mind and it could focus on things that my conscious mind did not fully identify or notice. That is why the thoughts appeared to be from a different being. Learning how to cope with stress and anxiety can help also. Cognitive Behavior Therapy or CBT can help with anxiety, depression, and stress management. There is a good book that you can find on Amazon called, "Mind Over Mood 2nd Edition" I did this workbook and found it excellent with teaching me CBT skills.
