i never experienced psychosis until a yr ago, and i dont know how to recover
so a yr ago, i entered a drug induced psychosis from lsd (have familial history of bipolar and schizophrenia so definitely wasn’t a good idea.) the trip was horrible, and it caused me to start thinking my life before the trip was completely fabricated and i was placed into this simulation type world during the trip. so all my memories, family, childhood, in my mind was fake. and everyone in this world was fake and completely fabricated, so like uncanny valley type stuff. and for a whole yr i thought this until i got onto medication. having never experienced something like this before, it has caused some serious damage on myself and mental health. that entire yr i was in absolute constant terror, fully trapped in my own mind in like an almost spiritual sense, incredibly aware of the physical separation of other people from me, so knowing ultimately no one can understand because we are separate from each other. and idk, im just trying to pick myself up from that, but it is so absolutely terrifying and has done so much damage to me, that i dont know if ill ever be the same again. i dont know if ill ever recover.
was kinda just a rant lol
@lilth0 I also experienced my first episode of drug induced psychosis last year, and that was so so scary. the way your brain totally shifts into a completely alternate reality is really jarring. I am hoping you find some peace and journey to recovery <3
no seriously, like the day before, i have snap memories of me drinking wine w my bf and our roommate, having the best time of my life, so in love. and then the next day, i wake up after the acid trip, totally terrified. i remember looking into it when it kept persisting, thinking itll only be a few days. then hear it could be a couple weeks. it still being there, looking more into it, hear ab hppd. then hear stories ab people dealing w this for months, years sometimes. some never getting better. i remember posting reddit post after reddit post, trying to tell ppl to be more careful and not to make the same mistake, begging for someone to help. i wish i had found this app sooner. i thought i was fully alone w this. thank you <3
