Help me?
Hello,
Don't know where to start I will try and be short and sorry for my english it's not my first language.
so I was diagnosed with Anxiety & panic attacs (panic disorder) but lately ( last 1.5 year) I started having more stuff I have long "lazy days" I just lay in my bed when I come home from work and on weekends. I don't see my friends or I see them only 1x or 2x a month. I feel I'm sad all the time but then comes some day or days when I feel kind of okay. I should say for the first time in my 24 years I have a serious job and I work everyday the same stuff and It's exausting for me and I think that maybe now that i don't have as much freedom as i did before it fuck with me. Can someone please tell me some tips? And don't say doctor or pills I tried and it didnt helped me. I was on antidepressents but it didn't helped. My doctor because of covid I could see her and then she said that se thinks that I'm okay but I'm not and I can't go back to her because she was far away from me and expensive. So please can someone help me?😭
Have you tried something that will give you energy? Like it doesn't have to do something big or anything. I have those days too when it's really hard to get outta bed but i listen to music, a lot, and it helps me so much, like going through the day it's easier if I'm listening to the artists I like. So maybe there's something small that can help you, like watching a funny video or cooking or even cleaning or something.
Thank you for answer! Yes I usually try and clean and put on some music and It does makes me feel better but then when I lay in bed and I don't have the energy panics starts or negative mindset or just the feeling I feel almost I'm getting sick (even thought I'n healthy)
I totally get you, in those moments I kinda read whatever I find or something in my phone until I'm like too tired and fall asleep. Playing this harry potter game it's pretty entertaining so I recommend it if you're into that.
Writing
Hm, maybe start writing? Whereever, it can be some notebook or even computer. I've heard it can help release anxiety and motivate you, and also, it helped me.
Especially if you choose writing your thoughts down in computer, I reccomend doing that with password. It can help you feel really save with what you writing, being sure noone will read that. And that itself makes you feel a little bit more relaxed just knowing you have your own personal space noone can get in.
But if you not that paranoid as I am, notebook is also good option :)
Every time you feel overwhelmed, anxious, unmotivated you can write this down there. Also, if you chose that, keep in mind, you can write there whatever you want. It can be completely ungrammatical and phrases can't make any sense, and thats okay, no one's seeing and judging it anyway. Even if you just write some unconnected words which poops into you mind, it's okay.
Small challenges
Also, you can try to set some small goal. That should help especially with motivational problems. Some ideas:
- training/fitness apps - they are some great 30-day or 14-day programs for free,
- walking (for example, a goal: every day i will do a 1km walk. And if I will go that for month, I will start going 2km walks. ) It can also apply to running,
- drawing. Just for example a goal: for this week i will try learning how to draw an eye. In next week i will try to learn drawing a nose for example. In third - a cat. Etc, etc.
- sudoku. For example: Every day I will try do one sudoku. At the begging, a easy one, after 3 weeks normal level, after another hard for example.
- chess, for example download a chess.com or any other chess app and for example try to play 2 matches a day. After 2 weeks, a 3 matches.
- new language, there is a lot of free apps to learn a new languages.
Also, you can write somewhere down your plan of learning, deviided to weekly plan or monthly dependant how you want to do it.
Check list
That may seem like not relevant one, but when you every day morning will set per say 3-4 goals (doing laundry, cleaning room, talking to friend, doing this assignement to work etc.) you can realise that after some time you got that feeling that you are able to do anything now that you are capable. That should be energising
Hope I helped!
Thank you for answer!
That tips are helpful I will try and do them!
