@SoulfullyAButterfly What are your favorite productivity tools or apps that have significantly improved your workflow? Honestly, my favorite productivity tools are old-school planners, calendars, paper, pencil, or a whiteboard because I think physically writing things down helps more than using an app. Also when coming home from work or something if you have something that you want to do like homework or dishes or whatever I find not taking shoes off or getting out of your work clothes could help to keep that motivation going. If you have questions please do not hesitate to ask me.

I agree with this 100 percent. While I do use google calendar and reminders, only because I always have my phone with me, I write everything down in a planner and on a wall calendar. I also believe that physically writing things is helpful. I actually feel more accomplished after filling out my planner and wall calendar for the month, if that makes sense. I also agree with not taking off your shoes or changing your clothes as a way to help you keep going. If I sit down at all, I'm usually done for the day lol.

I use paper and prefer it. However I always have my phone and the ability to synch between my phone and my laptop or desktop computers as well as being able to have a shared calendar with my digital kids has appeal. Being able to reference my schedule with my calendar is not with me could be useful.

I have to manage my spouse's schedule as I am his guardian. Those calls to book appointments NEVER come when I am near my desk or calendar. It is very hard to get his appointments and the calls to set them so this alone could drive me digital. I ha e often guessed at a time only to have to rearrange several things around it later because his services are harder to come by.

I have decided I can still sit down and write things on a calendar to rest my mind and see it in print as well as have a hard copy for future reference.

Ironically I used to set this stuff up for others as a small business tech consultant, and yet, I myself am kicking and screaming my way into these changes.

I just use the calendar on my phone to keep track of my shift hours. Then, whenever I need a password change to access the computers at work (every 3 months), I would make note of it on the day I changed it. Otherwise, my work doesn't require any tech gadgets to make it more productive.

It's the people that has to work more productively.

I had to think about this for a while.

I would say that Google and Microsoft Office are my two biggest.

I love Monday for planning projects because I can track time frames and scheduling out over a timeline as well as what falls under it and move the steps around. Monday is free for 1 or 2 people. Over 2 there is a charge.

Ilovepdf is an amazing version that is free to make and manipulate pdfs without the cost of others.

The other big one for me would be slack for communicating with a team. I can PM or have teams divided by projects and functions that only they can see. Also, having a social area where everyone knows everyone.

These are features I don't think I could do without in my daily life. I use them near daily and they are time savers and if they disappeared, I'd be sad! lol

Great question. I'm going to look into a couple that I saw already posted.

One of the things I struggled with was how I interacted with tech during my productivity hours. I would get a text message or simply pick up my phone to check something and lo and behold, an hour or more has passed by.

So, I started using this app called Freedom. It closes all the apps you deem to be distracting, blocks you from websites that add no real value to you work and reminds you to focus on your task when a productivity session is running. Best thing about is that it syncs across all your devices so that you can have minimal distractions and be brought back to your work when you find yourself deviating away.
