What is a line from a book/movie that has stuck with you?
Oftentimes, when we read a book or watch a movie/series, we come across lines and dialogues that are immensely impactful for us.
What is one such line/dialogue/scene that has made itself home in your heart and why?
Feel free to add multiple!

There is no such thing as bad people. We're all just people who sometimes do bad things.
It Ends With Us
Colleen Hoover

That's a great quote! Thank you for sharing it with us!
@Clarisse29
You're welcome!
Why?- I'd say it reflects on reality than justification for our deeds.
So right, love Colleen Hoover too

Good to hear that! ❤️

"I suppose in the end, the whole of life becomes an act of letting go, but what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye."
Why?
Because relatable! 🤍

Aww I know right?! This one, I've kept close to my heart ever since I first heard it in the movie, and it was the first to come to mind when I read this prompt! *internal cries indeed* lol! *hugssss* 🤧❤

This dialogue has always been my favorite.
"My dad said- Every person has two bears in them.
One bear is all things good, compassion, love, trust. The other is all things evil, fear, shame and self destruction. I asked him which one wins, he answered, the one you feed."
@loyalBlueberry7653. Niceeee

"With great power comes great responsibility"
" And in this maelstrom of decay, ordinary men were battered and smashed... men like Max... the warrior Max. In the roar of an engine, he lost everything... and became a shell of a man... a burnt-out, desolate man, a man haunted by the demons of his past, a man who wandered out into the wasteland. And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again." (The Road Warrior, 1981)
I know The Flash wasn’t exactly the best movie ever, but this quote from Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne stuck with me.
”These scars we have make us who we are. We’re not meant to go back and fix them, and there’s nothing broken with you that needs to be fixed. Don’t live your past. Live your life. Don’t let your tragedy define you.”
"Just because you don't believe in the devil, doesn't mean he won't come after you."
There are so many things we are so ignorant about. And the world won't have mercy on you because you don't know. So for example, just because you don't know an economical depression is coming, doesn't mean you'll be immune from it. Yoooo,with the number of things we are oblivious to! This got me thinking
@Clarisse29
it's you and me against the world, m'lady
Cat Noir - Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir
@Clarisse29
“Wild birds die in cages.”
This line is from The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden. It may sound dark, but I find it encouraging. I first read this book back when I still lived with my abusive family, and this line made me realize that I wasn’t going to be able to stay with them much longer. I chose freedom and escape over letting my true self “die” in their toxic way of life.
@TheAutumnWitch I'm so proud of you for doing what was good for you :)
