What is a line from a book/movie that has stuck with you?
Oftentimes, when we read a book or watch a movie/series, we come across lines and dialogues that are immensely impactful for us.
What is one such line/dialogue/scene that has made itself home in your heart and why?

I'm not sure if this is exactly right for this thread but you said "scene" so hopefully it counts hahaha 😅
In the horror film Evil Dead 2, there is a scene where the main character Ash goes insane after enduring the entire events of the first and second film back to back (as they take place immediately 1 second after each other.)
And in this moment his entire psyche becomes broken, making him lose his humanity and any capability of feeling fear. He went from being the scared guy who could only clench the axe he was holding tightly and hugging against the wall instead of using it to save his friend who was being attacked just a metre away from him, to someone manically laughing with the Kandarian demons around him.
Now the reason this is impactful is because of how it recontextualizes the "chosen one" or "hero" cliche. It took his psyche being broken and crushed and then rebuilt into something new and almost inhuman to be able to become the prophesized individual who would banish the darkness.
He wasn't born or made as the hero of the story, he was arguably the least heroic person in the 2 films so far. But upon all the tragedy and trauma of the first and second film, it all builds to this one moment where his sanity finally snaps and turns him into the chosen one.
This had such an impact on me because it shows that only through the greatest struggles can we become the best versions of ourselves. (And because the whole psychology aspect of it was fascinating 😝)
@TheAbsoluteMadLad Great analysis of the narrative structure. I find it easier to identify with a protagonist when he/she is ordinary. Like Harrison Ford said: "I don't play heroes, I play ordinary men thrown in an extraordinary situation." ...and I love Bruce Campbell.
