I think I will fail.
Should I be scared now?
If I were to show fear,
All would fall into disarray.
But even though I should be scared now,
I'm ecstatic with my current situation.
Not knowing yourself or your opponent,
Is a sure way to lose every battle.
But I know my opponent so much more now,
And my opponent will have the privilege of knowing what I choose to show.
It's a privilege for me too,
I'm not here to burn my opponent to the ground,
I'm not here to lay siege and leave nothing,
I'm here to take over and better what's already here.
In order to do that, first I show no fear,
Second, I refuse to be on the defensive.
I may be at my opponent's mercy now,
But this is no defeat or capture.
I've planned ahead for this,
And am pleased that I am matched to this point.
This is, instead, an exchange,
At a location that, though isn't mine, I have chosen.
The true battle is one of minds.
I think I will fail.
Should I be scared now?
Infact, I know I will fail
But I won't be afraid
I'll do my best
I won't be swayed
Because I'm but a small voice
In a crowd of many
Fighting, even silently
Even if I fail today
Or the next
We fight
We fall
We give it our all
And maybe we won't fail.
And knowing that we will, several times
Means we know how it'll go down
When we go down
We'll rise back up
And maybe it'll be enough
For more to join our fighting cause
To love
Every little voice counts
don't go
Always enjoy reading your responses @LonleyCheese 🩷 "We fight, We fall, We give it our all" will be repeating in my head for a while, it gave me a personal reminder that even through fear I still need to give my all and do my best
@SirenOfSerenity Thank you! That's why I love cups, because I didn't even know what I was doing and apparently it's helpful? I just love how everything works on here
I think I will fail. Should I be scared now? I have to facilitate the creative writing meetings from now on. I'm sure nobody will accept me as the "leader". I certainly don't give anyone a feeling of confidence. They'll see my uncertainty and they'll think I don't know what I'm doing. They'll be right, too. I have to do it, because somebody has to.
If I can just take it one step at a time, and play it quietly - no false bravado - they may decide I'm okay. They'll listen and they will write. I want them to enjoy it. It should be fun for them, so they'll be encouraged to keep writing and keep attending group.
If they don't like the writing prompts, we can try another set of prompts. The box of prompt cards wasn't my idea, but it's not bad. The prompts are a little strange, but intriguing. For me, they have ideas I wouldn't have had on my own. I have to come up with something quite different from what I otherwise would have chosen. That's good for a writing exercise. I hope the other people feel the same.
Everything feels so dark
Everything feels so numb.
There isn’t any pain
Nor deprivation, surplus or gains.
When time seems to age
It’s just memories that never fade
They are my world, my dimension
Anecdotes of my life
Beginning and end of everything fond and nice.
As I look around me, everything suddenly reminds me of my past
Just bliss thinking of it being so vast.
I can still hear the 9am school bell ring
The group discussions, the lunch breaks and the prayer group sing.
Recalling my first day at college was easy
The emotions had caused the situations to be a little less than frenzy
I failed to comprehend how such moments were etched deeply in my mind
For they maybe responsible for one’s being bad or benign.
Days passed in months
And months to years
I lived my life like a lucid dream.
Graduation was nothing less than classy
And so was the dance and after party.
This is the moment when you are about the cross the big line
Onset of a new journey, which cannot be declined.
It was the night preceding the big day of my first job promotion
That the unthinkable occurred without a notion.
To this day, that’s the only singularity I cannot recall
As to why I never woke up with all those days bygone.
Now I reckon it was a call from up above
Something to which all of must heed without a doubt.
I will always remember those sunshine days
My family, my friends and the world as it was while I walk through this haze.
My world here is nothing short of a trance
A plane between heaven and earth beyond which I cannot glance.
Although I see others here wandering like me
I still feel solitary sailing through this lonely sea.
My life had always been a reflection of joy and contentment
For which thankfulness has always been part of my enlightenment.
For now I continue to reap through the sands of endless time
As I wait to cross over and enter God’s own land.
I shall keep living on these memoirs that I preserve amidst my heap
Till the moment comes by for me to take the leap.
I think I will fail- should I be scared now?
I want to solve what happened. I want to fix the problem that take you away from us. I want to find a way to give you back your safety, your freedom, and your life. I want to find a way to allow you to thrive. I want to stop people from hurting you just because you are wildly and beautifully authentic in a way we can’t understand.
I want to turn back time and be brave with you. Because you protected me when you needed protecting. Because you were as fragile as me on the inside, but you would scream out loud and I lost my voice completely.
Because I suspect that what came so loudly and brazenly after you is silently coming after me, too. I don’t think I was supposed to follow you, so I have to find a way to protect you, and me, and everyone like us, but I think I will fail. Should I be scared now?
Did my being scared ever help us in the past?

I Think I Will Fail [ A Poem By @0zzyk1ns ]
I Think I Will Fail .
Should I Be Scared ?
Should I Run Away From The People Right Here ?
What Would Happen If I Disappear ?
I Think I Will Fail .
Should I Be Scared ?
The Failing Of Being There For A Friend Or Failing A Test
It's All The Same To Me .
I Think I Will Fail .
Should I Be Scared ?
Should I Be Scared Of What They Say Or How They Feel
I Think I Failed To Be My Parents Child
I Think I Will Fail .
Should I Be Scared ?
Will I Fail To Stay Or To Breath
As I Climb To The Edge And Sigh
I Think I Will Fail .
Should I Be Scared ?
Everything I Do Seems To End In Disaster
I Must Be A Horrible Luck Magnet
I Have Failed .
I Am Scared .
All I Can Do Is Mess Things Up Again And Again
Will I Ever Get Better ?
I think I fail?
I hate to say this but failure in something that we do in life. Is how we learn. It's a part of the learning process. But yes I am afraid of failure in my life in whatever I am doing. When I fail I process what I did wrong and try again until I succeed at what I am doing at the time. 😢😍
@BeeFree82
Great point about failure. Love the resilience!
