The northern lights are one of favorite natural miracles. They are literally fascinating and breath-taking. Personally,I haven't seen them ,yet. Seeing them in real life and feeling their atmosphere is a dream that I had carried with me since my childhood and will do my best to achieve it one day Insha'Allah 💚

This purple streak is what we see where I am at. I have a great new camera I should study how to take pictures of them.

Yes, I saw them through my window within the past month. It was a bit cold and was quite late so I didn't bother getting dressed to go outside, although I have gone outside to see them before.
Pictures do make them appear much brighter than what they look like in person.
With the nights being so long now hopefully there will be more chances to see them.

If I could see them through my window, I would definitely go out to catch them without any preparations. No need to dress I won't think so much 𤣠hhhh
@AReineRose Nights in November here get fairly cold.
I've gone on late night summer walks where I have seen them, as well as winter evenings where I prepared ahead of time. There's alerts that can be signed up for, so there's advanced notice if the probability of them occurring is high, and when very high news usually mentions it too.
That's so nice 💯. Oh they call it aurora hunting I guess. I heard of it.

@AReineRose I lived in Iceland in 1983-84. I experienced things like the Aurora straight overhead right after Christmas. It was magical.
