Kare Kare is a type of Filipino stew with a rich and thick peanut sauce. It is a popular dish in the Philippines served during special occasions. The traditional recipe is composed of ox tail. There are instances wherein both ox tripe and tail are used. The vegetable components of the dish are string beans, eggplant, bok choy, and banana blossoms. Lightly browned toasted ground rice is used to thicken the sauce.

filipina here! i recently learned how to cook spaghetti and ill tell u its soo different from italian spaghetti. ours have lots ingredients that makes a perfect combination of sweet and savory. so we already have a bundle of ingredients found at grocery stores for spaghetti, which consist of pasta and spaghetti sauce. now this sauce is already sweet compred to typical tomato sauce. now for the ingredients, it varies on which meat the person can afford. most ppl put hotdogs, ham and cornbeef on the sauces. some put ground beef and liver spread as well. u can combine all of them together. but first u have to sautee onions and garlic together, once they smell good u can add the meats. once cooked, you can add the spaghetti sauce and banana ketchup. you cook for the sauce for 5-10mins depending on the thickness of sauce. u can add lil bit of cheese or on top of pasta. enjoy!

Our way of naming our dishes is sometimes based off of HOW we cooked the food!!

Like for example, sinigang, it's basically just like soup that's very sour!! You can cook ANYTHING with that same sour soup and it's now considered sinigang!! Like "Sinigang Baboy (pork)", "Sinigang manok", "sinigang isda (fish)" and allat!!

Or like, Lechon, which is grilled(?) food, works the same, like "Lechong Baboy (pork), and Manok (Chicken)"!!

Idk, but it's kind of rare to find dishes here that has its own name except for desserts.. ngl!! Pancit is the only thing I can think of!!
