@jesusredeemedme2425. Thanks for tagging me. i love hot Naan bread!  My husband doesn’t care for Indian food as much as I do as a vegetarian, so we go there on special occasions.

@jesusredeemedme2425

oh my god there is so so many good things to try out in india I dont even think I can mention them all in a post but one recommendation that I'll def give is ✨PANI PURI✨ a beloved Indian street snack featuring hollow, crispy fried dough balls (puris) filled with a flavorful mix of spiced potatoes/chickpeas/ sprouts and chutneys, then dunked in tangy, spicy, or sweet flavored water (pani) for a burst of flavor in one bite also known by names like Golgappa or Phuchka my absolute favourite and I bet everyone who has had it will agree, its absolutely addictive 😋✨

Heyy....!! yeah... PANI PURI. like I've got no idea why i dont like it. Especially insee all the girls are obsessed with it 🙃, i feel : whyyyy???? Especially college students lol. they just stand forever in queue... doesn't really bothered by missing classes 🤣🤣

Some of my cousin's hate it too and few kinda worship it 😂

@tranquilechoes

You made it by yourself???😮

Certainly, you might be from nothern side or other. here in south we just buy it more often. can't find anyone cook it by themselves in houses. 🤧

Sureee I would like to , if u r good at cooking unlike me 🙃

@Ailuraphilelove8tear9

yup Rajasthan I wouldn't say I am a great cook but I promise its edible 😂 also here also ppl usually buy because obviously its more convenient but its only cause of my low spice tolerance that I prefer making it myself although I do enjoy it outside as well from time to time 😌🤍

@jesusredeemedme2425

Panipuri or Golgappa is a snack consisting of a deep-fried spherical puri shell, hollowed out for a filling and dipped in flavoured waters. The liquid above is made out of mint, coriander and other spices. To the left it's either spiced mashed potatoes or chole (spiced chickpeas) which is the main filling. It's topped up with imli chutney (tamarind chutney) for that tangy flavor. It's a very popular Indian street stall snack.

So, it's from ( Kerala ) South side of India.

Roti : Wheat flour, water, salt, oil or ghee. Mix → knead → rest → roll → cook on a hot pan → done.

Broad beans: Sautéed with oil + mustard seeds + cumin + onions + green chili + garlic.

Creamy, aromatic, coconut-heavy.

Butter chicken:  i really really really loveee thiss 😍😍

Butter chicken isn’t originally a Kerala dish, it’s North Indian (Delhi/Punjab).

Tender chicken cooked in a creamy tomato-based sauce that hits sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy all at once. It’s the dish that makes you forgive every bad day instantly.

It'll cooked different in each states. ( picture i shared was from Kerala ).

Chicken (usually marinated in yogurt + spices), Tomato puree, Butter (duh), Cream, Spices like garam masala, chili, turmeric, cumin, coriander, Garlic + ginger.

It's feels heavenly to eat for, if mixed 3 of this together.

It’s classified as a Western Indian state.

Gujarat’s culture is a loud, colorful, no-nonsense vibe rooted in history, trade, and community.

I never been there before, idk much abt them but ik Tea culture is massive. ☕🤔

@jesusredeemedme2425

Thepla is a popular, soft, spiced Gujarati flatbread made from whole wheat flour, fenugreek (methi) leaves, yogurt, and spices. Many Indians carry thepla while they're traveling abroad because it doesn't go bad for days and can make for a quick snack. Pair it with Chundo (Gujarati style grated sweet mango pickle) and it's such a deadly combo.

Is it like spicy naan?

3 replies
User Profile: trueconfidant123
trueconfidant123 January 9th

@jesusredeemedme2425 much different than that. Naan is made out of maida (refined flour) and Thepla's base is whole wheat flour with the addition of chickpea (besan) and millet flour.
