Describe your Culture!
1. What makes your culture special?
We (australians living overseas) are a mishmash of many things. I am dutch english. but have been in australia 4 generations on one side. and 2 on the other. so i have a language that is english with other words thrown in that other australians dont understand. i am sarcasm fluent but because of where i live now i have had to learn to turn that down somewhat. i grew up with best friends from india, turkey, philipines, bangladesh, and a dad who travelled widely throughout the world, so i have picked up little bits here and there. So my culture has a baseline of boated in Australian, with sprinkles of other beauties.
2. What tips would you recommend to someone who is interested in learning more about your culture?
Learn why sarcasm is so funny and such a useful tool in communication. many americans came to work wth us in australia and would be mortally offended by how we would talk. whilst we would be honouring them with well crafted insults that actually meant how much we loved and respected them. look up indirect communication. its similar to a lot of south east asia. we say what we dont mean and vice versa, but you need to know the "code". we might speak english, but we arent really speaking english.

Doing research! A Celtic background is always deemed as confusing, which, I can understans . We often get mistaked with Australians, it's tiring having to correct people consantly!
@Tazzie My culture is very common I think! We LOVE to eat, in fact that's like all we do! We also love to possess fire arms and we have the uncanny ability to thrive and survive in the wild! You can honestly learn about my culture everywhere you look! It's most prominent and popular on social media!
I am both Italian and German. We love food and we love being with our family. To people who want to learn more, I'd suggest looking up YouTube videos to learn more about our culture, it's a very accesible way to learn more about any culture!

@Tazzie It is mostly wholesome and has a ton of festivities and revolves a lot around food.
Probably participating in the festivies is the quickest way to learn first hand.
