What is your favorite language?

This ain't a hard questions for me although I know and I'm learning several languages.

It's surely my native language Dhivehi (ދިވެހި) from Maldives I'm pretty sure that nobody knows about this language. But this is my favourite language. Dhivehi is spoken throughout the Maldives in different dialects, so it means that most of the people living in southern part doesn't under what the northern part people says. It's still dhivehi but there is a different in dialects.

There is one another country where dhivehi is spoken, it's India, I'm very much sure that most Indians don't know this fact. It's a atoll in India a bit closer to Maldives, which once was a atoll in Maldives. And dhivehi is now being taught in a university in China as well.

And do you know the word Atoll itself is derived from the dhivehi word "atholhu" (އަތޮޅު)

It's hard to say which language is my favourite language, but if I had to pick a language branch...Either austronesian [ex. Malay, Indonesian, Tagalog, etc] or "Asian"(which includes sino-tibetan, kra-dai, japonic, afro-asiatic, etc...).

I want to become multilingual someday. I'm "technically" bilingual, but I'm starting to forget my own native language (Spanish). I need to go back to school to achieve college level/professional level Spanish or study on my own again. I've studied many languages prior, and was multilingual at one point, but lost it due to lack of practice. So, I cannot claim to "speak" certain languages...I want to improve my English skill too, I feel like it is incoherent sometimes. My mind + stress + hardly socializing around other adults (unless it's work related, usually just by myself or with my toddler son..) + other...things... has killed my brain. I used to be a writer, and had compliments about it back in university, but that was many years ago...

Anyhow, I guess...I'll just list the languages I have studied, and languages I would like to study in the future.

::STUDIED[More intensely]::
Japanese - Studied since I was in grade school, on and off. Love the culture, food, and entertainment. I'm close to an A2 level, but I'm forgetting due to lack of practice
Chinese (Mandarin) - Became more interested in my last year of senior high and first two years of university. Widely known language, beautiful writing [in traditional Chinese, it looks amazing.~]. I'm on and off with this language as well...I was probably close to A2 too with this language?
Portuguese - Sounds like Spanish, easy to learn. People are very friend in both Brazil and Portugal. I have roots in Portugal, so I want to learn the language.
Vietnamese - The people in Vietnam are very blunt and make amazing food -- I love their honesty and caregiving nature. Also, Vietnamese sounds different depending on what dialect you choose, I want to learn the southern dialect.
Malay & Tagalog - Super easy to pronounce the words in their languages, just need to properly learn their conjugations, that's where I become stumped.

::WOULD LIKE TO STUDY (IN THE NEAR FUTURE)::
Korean - I don't think I can count this as "ever studied". I only ever looked up a few phrases and did barely any classes. I like the concept of the language, that a king created a new alphabet to make all of the civilians literate, and think it sounds amazing, but for some reason I haven't stuck to learning the language...Also a few of my favourite artists speak this language, so I would like to communicate with them!
Arabic - Same as Korean, haven't gotten too far in studying this language. There's many different dialects, and I'm unsure yet of which one I want to study. Was a tie between Lebanese-Arabic or perhaps Egyptian-Arabic.
French - I have family in France, I have a hard time pronouncing the words properly, I need to work on that more. They don't speak English, as they are elders, so I would like to learn the language to better communicate with them.
Danish - I have thought about moving to Denmark, they have a very laxed culture that I love. Especially when it comes to bicycling everywhere and well...cannabis lol. Seems fairly easy to learn, especially if you speak German or English.
German - Similar to Vietnamese people, Germans are VERY blunt and honest -- I love that! They also seem more...introverted? Which is nice, as I am too, so that takes off a lot of pressure.
Thai - LOVE the writing and how it sounds, it's a beautiful language. Their comedy movies are golden too and they have good horror movies as well. Great food too.
Esperanto - I DON'T care what anyway says, I just find it intriguing that it is made to be an "international" language...even though it'll be easier for those who speak Indo-european/germanic/romance languages versus austronesian, sino-tibetan, kra-dai, asiatic, etc.... I mostly want to use it to speak in "code" to people I'm close to lol. I'm going to encourage them to learn it too, so we can go back and forth hahaha.

::ON THE BACKBURNER/"MIGHT" STUDY (again)...::
Twi - I just like the sound of it, and Ghanaians are very kind.
Czech - I've barely learnt it in maybe junior high? I had a friend who's mother was from "Czechoslovakia" before it became "Czech Republic" and "Slovakia". The language is quite interesting.
Sinhala - Was learning this language because of a cute boy back in university, was trying to impress him lol.
Italian - I know Spanish and a bit of Portuguese, so learning this language should be quite easy. I just need to become more proficient in Portuguese first...then I'll look into Italian.

If I think of more languages, I'll just reply to my own comment below, but that's pretty much it?
Sorry if it's a bit repetitious with my responses as to "why" I'm studying certain languages.
Really it just boils down to: How the language sounds, Culture, Practicality (i.e. Who can I speak with in my immediate area?), and Food...Are my top 4 reasons lol.

I have always been fascinated by the Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Russian languages.

I actually have two favorites, but I'm only going to share one. I absolutely LOVE Norwegian. One day I randomly happened upon some article about Norway and immediately wanted to go there. So now I'm trying to learn Norwegian. It's taking a very long time because I have to go to school, and don't often have time to learn it, but I know that I can do it.

Right now I kinda think Greenland's language is most beautiful to me because it wasn't made into an alphabet and until the 1800's.

It reminds me of the icelandic sheep that is the only breed that hasn't been bred to become domesticated...

It's as though the people and language are still touching the edge of the wilderness and a freedom that many wish and fight for.

Stupid answer probably but eh, all good things are wild and free.
