Art evokes emotions.

Good or Bad. Most people think art has to be pretty.
But art that grosses you out or makes you angry is just as powerful.

Art has always been a huge outlet for me to just be myself. As a kid it was always comforting knowing that i was "good" at art and knowing that I had some talent. When I grew older it was less about talent and more identifying and comfort, being able to pt down your emotions and thoughts on paper is really powerful. :)

Art, to me, is an expression of the soul. It is taking powerful emotions and beautifully encasing them in words, or visuals, or music ...and even a piece of clay. It can be anything! To stand in front of art, to drink it in, is something daring -- to dare to delve into the depths of yourself and face, freely - that which is in front of you. Art is an experience. An experience to look at and drink in, to feel. An experience to create, to breathe life into to. Art is that which makes us human. And the celebration and the appall , of that.
