Antidepressants
@jasmineishereforu. Yes, I do. But I don't think we are allowed to discuss them here 💙
@Psalm139 @jasmineishereforu We are indeed allowed to discuss antidepressants and other medications here.
Our guidelines say: "Medication and drug names may be shared, but precise dosages or suggestions to take specific medications may not."
However, people I know who have tried or are taking antidepressants (in real life, not at 7 Cups) seem to have had very different experiences with them. What works for one person doesn't necessarily seem to work for another person. So I suspect that discussing experiences of antidepressants in a forum might not be very useful.

@RarelyCharlie Oh ok. Thank you.
@jasmineishereforu
Yes , I have been on meds for 6 years . If u have any questions regarding it , feel free to PM me.
@jasmineishereforu. I don't mind sharing since it's allowed and you can Google them if you are interested in knowing more. I take escitalopram (depression) and buspirone (anxiety).

Hi Jasmine!
Most people with severe depression take antidepressants as part of their treatment. Many people with mild to moderate depression take antidepressants too.
You will find in the following link a good explanation about them, from a trusty source:

You might also find interesting this classic article published in "The Lancet" (a scientific publication very respected in the health sciences community) about the relative efficacy of different antidepressants:
