Sleep, oh boy. Wonder when and how sometimes.

I just sleep to much (nearly the whole day) during the weekend but during the week I can't (I have school) and instead I always feel pain in my whole body. It doesn't want to move cause I'm scared...I'm scared of what will happen... Shaking, I try to push myself to walk to the bathroom. Something in me is telling me: " this day will go wrong, it's worthless to get ready. Just lay back down in your cozy bed and everything will go fine!" I try to fight against that feeling but it's stronger than me and always wins. I'm always late and even if I slept for a very long time, I'll still be exhausted. But that is only during daytime.

When it's time to go to bed, it's the complete opposite. I start thinking about things I rather not say and it really affects me emmotionally.

I guess I shouldn't complain since there are people all around the world, who don't even have enough food, water, medical help... And I'm here, complaining about little things nobody cares about.. sad

I don't sleep. It makes it hard to get through the day.

I have regular headaches, and sometimes I lay awake, waiting for it to go away. My sleep schedule will often change. I'll stay up until 11 am, and go to sleep. For awhile I slept in the day, and woke in the night. I'll get on a normal schedule finally, then it'll gradually get worse. When my schedule is "normal", I'll eventually wake up too early, too late, or go to bed too early, too late. Sleep is a real issue.

Am I the only one who cant fall asleep when its silent? I have to like have a yt video or a show on netflix to sleep. I often sleep late and wake up kind of early, dont really know how I can fix it

I know exactly what my problem is, yet I still can't get myself to change anything to fix it.
im on Zoloft which was most effective for me 2 years ago, but then I started to drink somewhat regularly, and as a depressant, having alcohol more than once a week began to mess with any consistent sleep schedule.

ive managed to get by in university during this time, but this current pandemic has stopped all my routines, even though I still work 6 days a week at a restaurant.

im still aware that every time I drink, 2-4 times a week, that it's basically cancelling out my medication.

the Zoloft (while sober) gives me energy and motivation, but the past few months have been sleeping in until 2pm and going to work at 4pm then drinking at 10pm.

so basically I'm always tired during the times when I should be doing something productive and it makes me feel like I'm working towards nothing.

@kristina0914- hear you- my med says no alcohol too- maybe that is why i/m not feeling well- your post may help remind me to stop the nightcaps and etoh and see if i feel better. I know this wasnt the answer you were seeking- but thanks.

@barncat I'm honestly glad to even hear someone gets what I'm going through! Yes if you can find some way to make it work, please let your meds do their job ❤️
