Hi everyone. I'm 22 and struggle with depression and anxiety. My previous therapist recommended I try to find an online community to know I'm not alone, and I figured I would try 7cups. :)
Hi everyone,
I'm diagnosed with depression since november last year. It was quite a shock and at first I thought, it's some kind of burn-out because it came from one day to the next... Well, now I know that's not true at all. It was a long process and I just didn't saw it coming.
I'm seeing a therapist every couple of weeks and a psychiatrist, for medication and further support. But everything moves so slow, days are creeping by and I think there is no progress (although there is). I'm feeling bad because I can't go to work, I always have a bad conscience knowing that I get sick pay and it gets only worse if I'm having a good day... I joined 7cups because I hope to find people with the same thoughts and problems, to ask questions and get answers - just to know that I'm not alone with this mess.
I'm 33 years old and from Germany (hope my english works for you).
Looking forward to meet you all.
Hi I'm 17 and I'm really not sure what is wrong with me, but depression seems to fit. I'm finding it difficult to cope with school, and it is getting harder to function properly.
Hello there!
I've found my way back to 7cups only recently. I'm 19 years old. Depression and Anxiety have been with me since 2011 but most of the time I'm trying my hardest not to let them define me. What does define me is a stubborn, child-like adoration for dogs and midnight baking, and a ridiculous habit of shielding my serious emotional damage with humor. I've also given my depression the name Erold, because its old, moody and I don't like it.
Hello! I'm keeping my name anonymous, but you can call me fluff, fluffy, or stuff! Whatever works! I'm currently in my junior year of highschool, and I'll be turning 17 in june. For me, my depression is genetic and I feel like it's just always been a part of my life. I'm going to be comletely honest, I've gone through a lot of stuff in my life which hasn't made living easy. I am lucky, though, in that I've found things in life which I'm passionate about and help drive me forward. I'm also really lucky to have found this site, and am happy to meet you all!
Hiii! Nice to meet you all! 👋😊 Ive been coping with deppression for 2 years now, but its a bit odd because almost nobody can see it... Even when I try telling people they just think it is a phase... But it lasts... And they forget...
Feels like wearing a mask and that reality just isnt... well... real.
I wont spam you with unecerssary details. I hope we all find what were looking for! ✨ 🐎

Hi. Idk what to say so I'll just wing it. I've never really been clinically diagnosed with depression, and I'm currently waiting to get an opportunity to do that. I think it started around my mid to late teens, but it's gotten worse in the past years due to my unimproving living situation. I do have some hobbies that make me feel better, and for now I'm just trying to get by one day at a time waiting for things to get better.
