I've been having multiple days where I have very little energy, it gets difficult to manage other things in my life, especially when it's not just 1 or 2 days.

I liked the videos. The working one I was expecting to be differen though, based on the title used on youtube. I do think it can be difficult to get a job and some more targeted advice would be useful, but there's minimal information out there it seems.

I have some good news. I have a j ob interview this Friday for me to get my old seasonal job back, and I actually gained some weight! I haven't gained weight in months, years maybe! I'm so happy that my lifestyle changes are actually working and I'm seeing real progress. I know I haven't been on 7 Cups too often lately, but I'll try to remember to notify you if I get the job :)

Hey everyone .

I am feeling alot of pain lately in my back up into my head ... fun fun !!

I have not worked since 2002 and I miss it everyday but it is part of Life things do happen and we have to learn to adjust to our new style of living.

I am Me still the same person I always have been I have however learned alot over the years of not working I educated myself more about my health both mentally and physically.

Sadly it is harder for someone with a disabilty to find a job or feel like working due to pain menatlly and physically. I know some who do work and do just fine but the majority I do know are not able to work .

I went out in June and couldnt even hardly get into a bank in my wheelchair with my Hubby pushing me it was so bad and so sad to be honest that a Big Bank have no ramp at the front or side for someone in a wheelchair it was all the way in the back.. but even then someone had their car parked where the small ramp was... also the doors were so narrow we had the hardest time getting in and I did tell them it was sad it was like that there.

I also went to a gas station on the way to my dads funeral in June and the store did have a ramp but inside was so small my hubby ran me into the shelves with the bottles of wine on them and I knocked 3 bottles over thankfully I caught them with my feet!! I was so upset and then the bathroom was even worse , Thankfully I can walk with hanging on to things a few steps because that is what I had too do.. IBS from Anxiety kicked in and I had to go!! lol It is sad that places are not considering those of us in wheelchairs . '

Sorry for a long post! I want to see a change out in the world even if i am agoraphobic and I dont leave the house only when i have too .. but for others out there.

take care all!!

TBD blush

UGH! My boss is so abusive. What can I do? I filed an ADA for disability for the nervous/stress related, medically diagnosed PTSD. The ADA reasonable accomdation was clear and signed by my primary care MD. My boss tells other people about the ADA reasonable accomodation and uses every opportunity to belittle me. This morning she called me on the cell (our office is too cheap to buy a landline). She had me on speaker, and her voice was echoy, and I asked 'can I put you on hold for a minute to get my headset? there's an echo that makes it hard to hear you?'. She said 'no, no, I understand that you are slow and easily frustrated by technology... I'll go tell someone else to talk to you in person'. I said 'no, it's just the headset', but I was trembling and felt so small. I don't have trouble with technology; i have trouble with a bully and abusive boss. All I said was I'm going to plug in a headset, but she is retaliating by EVERYTIME saying 'you're slow, not getting things done, you're easily frustrated, and you need rest, and you're not doing it...'

This is retaliation, and I don't know where to get help. Do I tell my boss, 'hey, that's uncalled for. I do not get frustrated, and this sure seems like retaliation that is not legally permitted?' Whoa, she would move to fire me immediately. If I go to HR, then what? HR has done nothing about my ADA reasonable accomdation request except an emal saying 'I'll talk to your boss'. If I tell HR, he my boss is a bully and retaliating with me by calling me 'slow, easily frustrated and not a good worker', then it will get back to my boss, and she will be more abusive! Do I be snide with her when she says that and say 'well, if we had a competent person in your position, then no one would ever be frustrated'?

Lose - Lose! My listeners only say 'I feels sorry for you'. Ugh! What do I do?

@Darkseed i can understand why its super frustrating with your boss however its up to you what you do we can guide but cant decide for you or make you choose an option as whats right for us in this situation may not be for you

if it was me id be smart ignore her snidey comments and report her to HR record the conversations if need be as proof your not in any form of wrong something to use against her

@CaringBrit

The place where I work is highly corrupt, and HR is a joke and lazy. The only thing reporting harassment and retaliation from my boss will get me is in deeper harassment and retaliation from my boss.

If I God was benevolent, he would release me from this job.

@Darkseed then maybe search into getting legal advice in what you can do for a company such as that

@CaringBrit

Interestingly, I've gone back to school to study paralegalism through distance education. I know that doesn't make me a lawyer, but I think I need to be smarter about the law both in my personal and professional life. In the United States, laws that protect people such as discrimination, disability and age are worthless. I have a friend who was fired because she wasn't 'hip' enough; that place fired everyone over 40. They can't afford an expensive lawyer to get help. I had a disabled friend who was parking in a handicap marked parking spot because she was disabled, and she had a permit to park there. Work thought she was too slow, and they fired her. She appealed to a disability attorney but she didn't have the money. She went to the government, and the told her to fork off. Laws that protect people in the United States are a joke. The fundamental truth is that those who have money have the law. What the old expression, 'One law for the rich and another for everyone else?'

I'm doing pretty well today. I've been keeping myself busy. Woke up to the electricity being out but other than that all was good. Even then, I was kinda excited because not having technology was neat and also having candles around the house. It was cool. I took photos haha
