@MistyMagic yes this was awesome. I meant like outside of 7 cups. It was very sad to see that none of the organizations that I work with did anything this year.

Not really. Don't think there's any for amnesia, and no idea if any exist for memory related stuff in the first place.

On a downhill spiral. Nothing new there really.

I think it can be very confusing with awareness campaigns as there are so many and sometimes different countries have different dates. Perhaps we should make a 7 Cups calendar of our dates!

No, I don't feel "connected" to any awareness campaign. Am also not sure what the point of such a feeling is, since any campaign will go on (or fizzle out) regardless of how I feel about it.
Today I feel like a week-old cow pie because I'm having a flareup....oh, joy. 🤕
The pic reminds me of one of the few hopes I hold for the future: that as the science of human genetics advances, treatments & preventive measures will eventually wipe out not only hereditary maladies people are concerned about today, but all diseases including personality disorders, chronic depression, connective tissue disorders, susceptibility to cancer & to viruses such as C0vid-19...darn near every disease there is. I am unapologetically in favor of using "germ-line" treatments, in-vitro/alteration of ova, etc. for the benefit of future generations. I have seen far too much of what bad conditions do--in my own life, to other people, to others' relationships--to be otherwise. In nature, life has evolved through capricious rolling of the genetic dice & competition for food & mates for well over three billion years now; one result has been measureless suffering for all sentient organisms. Wildlife are condemned to it but we don't have to be. We & the animals we keep can be spared the worst of it all, & given health & contentment in decades to come. In fact, I consider it unethical to not use such knowledge & thereby sentence future generations to the same miseries we endure now.

Sorry you had a rough week. I did appreciate the information you shared with us, not connected to a particular campaign.
I have hope for better treatments or even cures with genetic technologies too!
