@AffyAvo My neighborhood is terrible at accommodating the disabled no sidewalk s The crossing lights are too fast. And a lot of the public buses ramps don’t work. If you’re disabled it kinda stinks where I live.
@OnlyDarkness Yes I agree, I hate that and why do people take up disabled parking bays and then get out of their car and almost run to the shops in an effort to get back before they are caught without a disabled parking badge?

@MistyMagic
What's annoying me is, the fight against cars made our city remove a lot of disabled parking lots. It's not like we use them for fun.
Yes! That has happened where I live. And often work vans park in them.
@OnlyDarkness That's really unfortunate! Hopefully as things need to be replaced there can be a bit of an update.
@OnlyDarkness, that is horrible but unfortunately I see that in many places. Usually there is not enough funding to support making things easier for the disabled or at least manageable.
@AffyAvo What an interesting question. I think a lot depends on the council/municipal/ leaders and the age of the building, street or area. For instance the brand new 'Elizabeth Line' underground in London is fully accessible, the trains are easy to roll on and off and every station has lifts. But some of the older lines are impossible with wide gaps between the train and platform or long escalators or even stairs with no lifts!
Hope everyone is doing well!

@AffyAvo. One thing that I have found very helpful is that many places like grocery stores have electric mobility scooters. I would like to see more places have these . They help to increase accessibility a lot.
@AffyAvo, our neighborhood has sidewalks the whole way around and dips so wheelchairs can go around and down off sidewalk if needed.
I am doing great at this moment! I found out I got a new job this morning! Other than that just recovering from wisdom teeth removal.
my hometown is actually really accessible!! we have sidewalks, cars stay in the street, our public schools are very accommodating, and it was just the best place to grow up!! i love the suburbs of MA haha
@spicyPisces6226, that's awesome that they are accommodating!
