What is something you've always wanted to do?
The thread title might've given away the topic a little bit but not worry
I was wondering if there is something you've always wanted to do but might never have gotten the chance to yet. It could be visiting somewhere or trying food you've never had before, it doesn't have to be anything fancy!
I've always wanted to go to a convention in another country but it's very expensive and travelling long distances is not easy. I hope to do it in the future though!
So... What is something you've always wanted to do?
good question
Have superpowers. Particularly mind reading 🙂
@JustLolli I would like to have superpowers as well! What superpower do you think you'd want out of all of them?
@Harieo
Just mind reading. Would come very handy in school and understanding people's motives 😅
@JustLolli I agree Lolli. Sounds like it would make life a little easier and possibly harder too if someone was thinking about something you didn't want to hear or know about. Guess it's got it's pros and cons as does everything :P
I've always wanted to attend one of those Machine gun Shoots they hold out in Nevada. I really want to have a chance to fire an old WW2 Vickers Machine Gun. It's the same model my grandfather used during the war.
@DaveMcGrath that sounds cool! I think I'd be too scared of hurting someone to fire a live weapon
@Harieo
It's safe, I've been shooting for decades, never come close to having a serious accident. Caught some shrapnel from an exploding breech on a muzzleloader about 15 or so years ago, but got off lightly with a few nicks.
what is been on my mind lately is learn to swim!
@brainybrainy
I learned to swim when I was a kid. My ol' man tossed me into the deep end, had to fish me out with the pool broom, and then spent the next hour teaching me how to dog paddle. Once I could do that, he threw me back in the deep end.
Fun day that, quite enjoyed it.
@DaveMcGrath that sounds like a good memory!
I'll probably have to learn in a swim school since i live far away from the coast.
@Harieo
Travel to Japan.
@love4toads
I've been to Japan 3 or 4 times, can't quite remember. Lovely place, bit expensive though. Ate entire meals out of vending machines just for the novelty of it.
Only negative experience I had was getting thrown out of a bath house in Osaka for having tattoos. Their anti-Yakuza ordinance got me sideways of a badly needed shower before heading out for the day. Overall though, great place to visit just for a days so long as you think creatively. I slept in computer cafes to keep my costs down the last time and showered in saunas to stay clean.
I want to learn to swim. I wish there was swimming lessons in my area. water makes the job there, it would allow me to be more active despite my disability, because its one of rare activities i can do. right now i need a life jacket all the time. but i wish i can learn to swim without it in future. i am wanting learn for years but not found any swimming lessons near :(

Travel. Its all Ive ever wanted to do. Get a job I can either do on the go or start in a profession where I can move about a lot.
See the world. Explore every culture and every cuisine. Explore everything the world has to offer. Meet amazing people, find new friends. Settle down in my favourite place and start an amazing life that I can be proud of.
@Katieee97 that sounds like a big adventure, I hope you manage to achieve it in the future!
I always wanted to travel. I know it sounds very simple. But I always wanted to travel out of my country and maybe live in some country in Europe.
@LifelessDead travelling is really popular! Did you have any country in mind?
@Harieo I find some places in Scotland really nice.
