"You don't battle chronic illness, you make peace with it."

If anyone has any tips on how to come to terms with having a chronic illness and overcoming envy of healthy people, i'd be happy to hear. Feel free to share any stories or your experiences too.

Umm I'm not sure I have any words of wisdom. For me I am so hard on myself for struggling with the simplest of things. If you do that too, please give yourself a break.

Each day can be different, body wise, pain wise, emotions wise, so adjust to it without feeling guilty, if you need extra rest, extra support, I hope that's possible for you.

Envy or frustrations? I actually just go with it. I just voice it, through writing and say, You know what, I dislike the able bodied as they are not struggling and life is easier for them...

But eventually to keep it in perspective, all of us struggle in some ways..

@pinkKite8784. One thing that has helped me is keeping a gratitude journal. It helps me to remind myself about things that I have. It seems to help me feel better about the things I am missing due to chronic illness.

@pinkKite8784 Thank you for sharing. I am in two minds though, I feel that if we stop the battle then perhaps we start to lose the war?

Oh, what i was meaning to say was: we should always keep on fighting and trying to live life to the fullest inspite of having a chronic illness, so essentially we shouldn't surrender but instead,we should try to come to terms with our illness, in that way we won't feel so angry or envious of healthy people anymore

I'm still trying my best to come to terms with my chronic illness but i'm slowly starting to accept it, and i feel a bit better now, mentally and even physically. Your mental health affects your physical health too
