Crocheting!
I've been an avid knitter for years, but I just haven't picked up crocheting.
@DancingAlong
Crocheting is so confusing to me, too! I think knitting is actually supposed to be harder, but I learned it first and now every time I try to learn crochet I get through one row and wonder where all my stitches have gone!
Same here @DancingAlong. Knitting is such a fulfilling hobby. I've tried crochet, but I think someone needs to teach me directly.
@DancingAlong
I recently picked up Crocheting, after learning to Knit when I was younger I thought that it wouldn't be too hard. But it diffently took awhile to get the hang of it. If you're interested in learning I would recommend YouTube tutorials I personally watched Bella Coco, Also I found practising the stitch types repetitively before attempting any proper project e.g A blanket helpful as well. It helped me get used to handling the Crochet hook and working out my preferred tension for the stitches. Good Luck if you do decide to learn.
@DancingAlong My mom and my Grandma know how to do that .. it takes a lot of time, but it's cool actually. I have a few blankets and scarves that they made me. Try it! I do not have the patience.
@DancingAlong I find crochet so much easier and faster! I've never even managed to knit a scarf but I've crocheted stuffed animals. It must just be what we're used to.
Cooking. It's useful.
@ZizyTheTurtle You and me both. Haha.

@WindyCityGirl ... I should like that! We could take a class together :)
@SerenityBay I second that!
playing instruments. Flute or piano would be nice. I'm not picky though.
@lemonLime97 Hiya. Start with a recorder which is a very easy instrument to learn and then move up to a flute which is a pretty straightforward transition or stick with the recorder. No reeds or spare parts to have to buy and if you get a wooden one, it won't sound like you're strangling a cat
Tenor recorders are in the same key as Descant (Soprano) recorders so that's an option too. The other great thing about the recorder is that it isn't a massively expensive instrument to play.
@SilvestreVivesGB the "strangling a cat" cracked me up XD
@lemonLime97
In fact, having researched further into it just buy a really good plastic one. Either Aulos or Yamaha. They do great quality plastic recorders and cheaper and easier to look after than a wooden one. If you do get one, go for the ones that come in 3 parts.
Have fun making music
Being acceptable
@bathan You are my friend *hugs* ![]()
@SilvestreVivesGB
Its a nice gesture but an empty one....thank you
American Sign Language since I feel it's not only interesting but should be a part of our curriculum.
@offthebeat Ive been learning a bit of PSE, and it's quite fun. I'd suggest learning songs you like, as you would want to practice them more, and they're all over Youtube
@offthebeat ... ASL is offered as an optional class here in our public high schools. I know ASL now, but not from high school - lol. It is fun and it's a much needed skill. ~ Platy
@Laura It's not a skill per se but a behaviour. I would like to be able to see something I do through to the end without being waylaid all the time.
jewelry making
@Mellietronx You'd be good at that
