What's the worst thing that could happen, whilst having a quiet night in reading a book???
@Tinywhisper11 some rouge camals might break your door down and eat all your furniture😱
@Tinywhisper11 That would be an issue to be fair 🤔
@Tinywhisper11 your friendly neighbourhood cow could pop by and poop on your lawn, then the poop spontaneously combusts flying everywhere. And some poop flies through your open window just as your yawning and it goes in your mouth and you swallow the poop and you go blind. Then you stumble around scared, fall in to the kitchen table onto the floor, then the knife falls of the table into your back and you die
@Tinywhisper11 Anything that interrupts my quiet reading time is basically the worst thing ever— whether it’s someone breathing too close to me or yk a full-blown nuclear meltdown.
@azurePond .😂😂😂😂 yep those things are as bad as each other😂😂😂
@azurePond
People TALKING TO ME while I'm reading. Like, is my book invisible??? hehe
@jesusredeemedme2425
Some days be like dat doe XD
@Tinywhisper11
I could just casually take a look at the end pages and accidentaly get to know the main character fricking dies, leaving her boyfie heartbroken
P.S.- Happened to me while reading Divergent's last part...gosh I was heartbroken before I had even barely started the book- And i'd gotten so attached to both the leads in the first two books
Hearing someone rip a MASSIVE FART from downstairs... And no one is home.
@jesusredeemedme2425 😱😱😱😱😱😱 is it the ghost of Torean!? Or pine?!?😱😱
@Tinywhisper11 a zombie apocolypse could wipe out your whole town and you'd be sat there reading and be blissfully unaware😱😱
@Tinywhisper11
Maybe. Maybe not. It’s been said more than once that zombies come back for a purpose or searching for a purpose or whatever and once they find it they’re at peace while returning to where they came from - their own graves.
@Tinywhisper11
The bad characters from the book jump out of the book and come to life being the exact way they are in actual life as they are in the book.
@akunknown 😱😱😱😱😱 I hope your book isn't a scary one😱😱
@Tinywhisper11
The scariest books I ever read in my life were Goosebumps or Give Yourself Goosebumps (both as a child) and when I got a bit older The Fire Games series, all of which were written by RL Stine. Goosebumps was good enough to even get adapted into a kids tv show in the 90s.
So I don’t think you’ll ever have to worry about my books or the ones I read ever being scary ❤️
@akunknown Stay away from 1984 or you know... Dune... those are the scariest books tbh😭
@azurePond
How so if you don’t mind sharing your reasons with me? I need strong convincing to stay away from certain books
@akunknown Gimme 5 minutes. I will recommend you— I mean... sca.re you for your life 🫣
Welll Akunknown… if you value your peace of mind, your sense of reality and your ability to trust literally anything ever again .... then for the love of all that is holy — DO NOT read 1984 or Dune😱
Imagine a world where your toaster is probably spying on you, your thoughts can be crimes and your love life gets vaporized by the g0vernment. Totally fictional, right? That is 1984. You’ll finish it, sit in silence, stare at your wall and whisper.....
“Is Big Brother watching now…???”
Highly not recommended. Definitely don't read it (Unless you want to understand every dystopian meme ever and question dem0cracy)
And then there’s Dune. It’s like Game of thrones had a baby with Star wars while high on spice. (But Dune is the father of all scifi because I consider Frankenstein to be the mother of all scifi)
You’ll be reading about sand and suddenly be like...“Wait — a valuable resource that helps with intergalactic travel, in the middle of a desert and there are desert people in veils fighting against an imperial power... huh ..... also you will very concerned about the act that there’s a 15year old child messiah and they couldn’t come up with a cooler name than Paul"
Also there are giant worms.. very scary.. worms are scary. Also big words, very big words and insane amount of Space botany and zoology. Stay far, far away.
So yeah…
Whatever you do, DO NOT READ 1984 OR DUNE.
You do not want a surve!llance g0vernment or h0ly war or giant w0rms to become a reality. Very scary stuff.
(But like… do read them. For educational purposes. And mind blowing plot)
@azurePond
They made two movies called Dune, Part 1 and Part 2. Any relation between the two films and the books??
@akunknown Yeah... the movies are based on the books. And as a book lover... it physically pains me to say this… but the movies are actually better 😭
The thing is — the Dune books are dense. So much infodumping, made up terminology and political lore that it can feel like you need a PhD just to get through chapter one. But if you watch the movies first and then read the books, everything clicks way better.
The themes are incredible though — hero worship, messiah tropes, religious psychology... it really goes deep. Dune part 1 and part 2 cover the first book simply titled Dune. After that it gets wild with Children of dune and the rest but the philosophy stays strong. You know, Frank Herbert published it back in 1965 yet it still feels insanely futuristic and disturbingly relevant. No other sci fi book comes close honestly. It kind of gives off “Tony Stark built this in a cave with a box of scraps” energy — like, how did he write this back then?!
@azurePond 😮😮😮😱😱😱😱
@Tinywhisper11
In The Bad Guys, are the bad guys the bad guys or the good guys? ;)
@jesusredeemedme2425
Believe me when I say they are VERY VERY BAD as in probably one of if not the worst of the worst in all of books.
But they became good at the end… lol
@Tinywhisper11
Power cut
Candles. Lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 yes but what if they fall and burn your book
@Tinywhisper11 🤣
@Tinywhisper11
my dad yelling at me asking for bread 🙄
Uhhhh why? Lol
@jesusredeemedme2425
Bexcuse he likes eating bread 🍞 and when I said there's none, he'll be mad.
Tell him to buy his own bread XD
@jesusredeemedme2425
😆 he would say that, but he cannot go anywhere far by himself, he relies on me to buy stuffs
@VictoriaLove7 😂😂😂 just pretend you can't hear him
It could be like that one time, when the TV suddenly turned on to a story about someone's funeral when I was home alone. 😅
Realistically though? Probably sitting down to enjoy it, and suddenly feeling really lonely, and the loneliness makes me too anxious to enjoy it.
Awww the last part :(
I know. 😅 It only gets that bad every now and then
@Torean you can always go sit with your little furry girls, they will keep you company💖💖
That actually works really well. ❤️ The other day they were unexpectedly affectionate when I was feeling depressed.
Awww, they’re therapy piggies <3
No joke, they absolutely are. They do it for each other too.
