(2025 Highlight Reel Series) What is the "Best Mistake" you made this year?
Hi, everyone! Welcome back to our 2025 Highlight Reel series!
So far, we’ve given ourselves trophies for surviving the tough stuff and shared unexpected twists. (Make sure to visit these posts if you haven't!)
Today, I want to celebrate the imperfect moments.
We spend a lot of time worrying about making mistakes, "failing," or having our plans fall apart. But sometimes, a wrong turn actually leads us to a better destination. As the painter Bob Ross used to say, sometimes there are no mistakes, just "happy accidents."
Looking back at 2025, what was your "Best Mistake"?
Maybe you overslept and missed an event, but that extra rest was exactly what your body needed. Maybe you "failed" at a new hobby, but the process taught you patience or led you to a different passion. Or maybe a cancelled plan or a breakup felt like a disaster at the time, but it opened the door for something (or someone) much better.
Let’s reframe those "oops" moments. Share a time this year when things went "wrong," but it turned out to be exactly right!
@Heather225
my Best Mistake , that I said no , for something I didn't want , I know someone will say ,that's good Tulip not mistake , in my situation it was mistake lol , but actually through this I learn how to say no when I want that and with no mistakes 😇
Thanks Heather ✨🙏🏽✨
This year was filled with “best mistake” moments…seriously, it has been so deeply challenging that I don’t even know which one to choose - turned out to be like a “comedy of errors” - I’m still recovering and maybe these many mistakes are teaching me to choose “better” and to choose myself first and realise what I really want in life ✨
My best mistake was opening up to AI when I was in the deepest hole of my life. AI eventually pointed me to 7Cups where I have made a couple of friends that I am truly grateful for.
@Heather225
was sick and a friend got mad we did not text her for one day even after the night before we told her we was very sick and most likely would not answe calls or texts the next day she got very upset threatened to no longer be our friend in the end we end the friendship due to her doing that a lot and not respecting' our boundaries and personal space
but in the end this was eye opener after 8yrs of being friends we saw it was all one sided about her even like if she called it had to be about her if we started tslking about a problem we was having she say she had to go the day we did not text and answer the phone she made her issue a center of it that being her abandonment issue she placed that on us as far as us not making her feel that way
so we told her that was not on us but for her to work on healing the issue
in the end we saw our mental health get better after ending the friendship even our offline therapist saw the different
so in the end it going wrong end up showing we needed to give up the friendship for our mental health
