Hello everyone! I'm a 45 year old guy struggling to survive a broken heart. A year has come and gone without much progress on my part. I hope to one day make peace with what happened. When I lost her I lost me too, and I hope someday to figure out how to be me again without her.

Ok, enough of my sob story lol.

@Derailed062024

Hey there! Welcome to the community and the forums. It must have been difficult to go through that experience. You'll find peace soon enough! My favorite saying is "time is the best medicine" and it really truly is. As you go about life you'll find a side of you that's changed and matured from this situation. Best of luck! and wishing the best :)

You’re healing on your own pace. No matter how long it’s been, it’s your time. Feel what you’re feeling, experience new things, do what you do, everything will fall into place. Whether it’s ups or downs, you’ll get out of the rut sooner or later. Everything works out!

Hello mate, if you want a suggest... i know it may be really hard since you were attached to her. But as someone who dated a lot and was a lot heartbroken... don't worry and don't feel desperate. You will find BETTER. Trust me, you will. Let it go, try to focus on something else and i can assure you that in some time you will laugh of this situation, of my comment and your suffering while holding the hand of your new beautiful beloved, or by drinking some beer with friends! But trust me, you WILL find better. Give it time.

@Derailed062024 Hey my friend! I know you will be able to find peace. You absolutely will. Do not try to worry about the speed of your recovery, and give yourself some space. Do not beat yourself up if it takes you longer than expected. You WILL get there, and you have everything that makes you YOU with you. Take it one moment at a time, because in the end that is all there is.

Take care! <3

Idk if you're doing this but try it if you're not.

Start waking up early, doing some cardio n then exercises.

Then taking a cold shower.

It doesn't fill the gaping hole inside. But it doesn't let you drown.

Rest you'll figure it out..

No my friend it's ok don't worry!! ❤️❤️ I'm glad you've found this platform so you can let everything out of your chest and feel a little bit less heavier. I know it may seem hard at first, and I get it, when this kind of things happen, it seems like the whole world got divided in the middle. It takes time to heal, but someday, maybe not today, maybe tomorrow, you will find peace and people who will love you and so you will find happiness again!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Stay strong my friend ❤️❤️🥺🥺
