I think if we'd work on what we can control life might be easier.... It reminds me of the serenity prayer in a way. If I learned how to control my responses to situations life would be better. Still learning how to let go of the things I can't control 😅

What does the image remind you of?

What could you work on today that is in your control circle?

How would you let go of things you can't control?

@SmileyRainbow

Thank you 💜💕

We waste too much time controlling what others think of us, but in the end, their opinions don't matter 💜

The Circle of Control reminds me of all the things I often worry about—and how many of them are actually beyond my control. I’ve spent a lot of time and energy thinking about what other people say and do, the mistakes I made in the past with my addiction, and everything going on in the world. As much as I want to fix all of these problems, I’ve come to realize that it’s simply not possible. There’s only so much I can truly influence.
What I do have control over are the choices I make, my attitude, and my willingness to ask for help. These are powerful tools that I can use every day to support my recovery and personal growth.
One thing I can work on today is choosing to focus my energy on the things within my control. By doing this, I create space for healing. I don’t have to micromanage every situation or chase down every worry that enters my mind. When I catch myself thinking outside of my control circle, I can gently redirect my thoughts back to what I can influence.
To help let go of what I can’t control, I’ve decided to write those thoughts down as they arise. I’ll leave them on paper and revisit them only if necessary. This practice gives me a way to release what I’m holding onto mentally and emotionally and hopefully change the way I see the world and my place in it. It’s also a step toward acceptance—toward taking things one day at a time and giving myself permission to let go.

@SmileyRainbow very good post that is simple to understand for all - thank you for this Smiley.

From my own experience I thought if I acted the exact way others wanted me to be they would still judge anyway but as soon as i said allowed "they are entitled to think whatever they want" I was met with hostility and wasnt surprised
