Dealing With a Lot…
I’m trying to do less on 7Cups, due to my hand pain and my burnout, but I’m still here. I’ve been purposely ignoring most of my penpal chats and other notifications I get, while responding to others. It’s been helping my mental overload to be able to ignore some notifications, and be able to focus better, breathe easier.
I’m just worried that people might think I don’t like them, I’m purposely shutting them out, I’m going back on my word about taking a break… I’m doing my best. I’m doing less, while trying to keep myself sane during an incredibly dark and difficult time, emotionally and physically and mentally. Making encouragement posts helps calm and ground me… Responding to a handful of penpal chats makes me feel seen and understood and less isolated.
I feel like I’m saying this all wrong. But I know you guys know me well enough, love me enough, to sift through what I’m saying and glean the meaning from my prattling. What I’m trying to convey is… I’m just doing less, I’m not leaving. I’m not ignoring specific people because of ill will, just because it’s easier on me in multiple ways. Loving people is keeping me sane.
Idk If any of this makes sense… I feel like it’s muddled. I hope you guys understand… Please let me know if you do.
@jesusredeemedme2425 There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking a step back to focus on yourself and what you need. You must look after yourself first!
I just feel guilty because some days (like today) I’m super active and making lots of posts. (My hand hurts quite a bit rn because of it, btw, but it’s worth it!) I just hope my penpals and other people I’ve written to, don’t resent me and think, “Well, she’s posting, so why isn’t she responding to me?” I’m already pushing myself beyond what I should… But the drive to love others far exceeds my hand pain, so I make encouragement posts, ignoring my hand pain.
Does any of this make sense? I’m not trying to love some people while not loving others… I’m doing my best (and also hurting myself doing so lol)
You’re still here, you’re still part of this community and you’re still loved. The way you’re showing up even if it’s differently than before matters. Keep doing what you need to keep yourself sane and know that we’re here, holding space for you every step of the way💛
You’re doing the best you can and that’s more than enough!

HI Kiara, it is okay to get some rest for your mental well being (^-^) do not worry.

The words make sense AND it sounds like your insides are jumbled. Keep practicing your self-care, manage your burnout, restock/refuel your emotions, and reach out for support when needed.
You've got this!

Friend.
Of course I understood each word of what you said. Sometimes we need a break. Jesus Christ loves you. He's your shadow. He sais: "I'll never leave you or forsake you" even if you're walking in the dark valley (Psalm 23). Let Him embrace you. Give yourself the honour to look after yourself. Eat chokolate-cake and icecream. Watch silly programs on your TV. As I have read other persons say to themselves: "Also this shall pass." Holding you tight forever and ever and ever - Helga.

I truly understood what you said and meant. I’m really sorry that you’re dealing with a lot which likely explains the burnout so doing less is smart and I support that bc it’ll help prevent future burnouts.
As for hand pain, my mom has been having hand pain in both of her hands and says doing physical therapy has been very helpful for her as it relates to that. Have you thought or considered trying physical therapy and see if it helps you out with your hand pain?
I’m here for you whenever you need me my friend. So if you ever want to or need to, reach out and I’m there just like that! You’ll get through this. Like storms that are temporary and eventually pass, this all will pass for you too. Big friendly hugs with love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@jesusredeemedme2425 I get you. And you are doing more than enough. ❤️
It's my new policy (and it always has been, but I'm stating it, because I hope others adopt it)... That no one should have to worry about how they come back. I'll always welcome you, no matter how fast or slow your pace is!
