How do you feel when you wake up?

I don't feel good. The peace I had before I slept is all gone. I really have to push myself to do some work and then sleep a bit more and when I get up for the second time Im still feeling terrible. But necessary works have to be done. So I do them with whatever grace I can manage. The mood usually becomes better in a few hours unless there is some argument with or poor treatment received from family or community members.

And at night when I usually write out all these posts Im feeling better. And Im so happy that I got there - but then the sleep comes in and the next morning Im back on the same page.

I think sleep is meant to reset you in a good way. Then why the terrible mood on waking up? Is it subconscious trauma?

Im getting to the root of things. What's going on inside me? I think I feel very strongly that I haven't done enough in life and time is running out and I dont yet have a strategy to achieve my dreams. And maybe this sentiment is pinching me inside.

Anyone has any feedback or anything they can relate to? Would be happy to learn about everyone's morning mood ❤️

I feel very tired and feel lots of physical pain that it takes me awhile to get myself out of bed.

I have felt physical pain too... getting it checked from the doctor.

What kind of pain are you experiencing ? Have you looked into the cause by a medical consultation?

I have some days that I wake up crying already or starting right after opening my eyes. Feels like a heavy stone is laying on me and I can't get up. Snooze after snooze...I'm finding this left over power to get up to cover my swollen eyes and red chicks with make up and im heading to work, because the fact that I'm a leader keeps me motivated, my team needs me. Trying to not cry on my way there, but I can't help it sometimes. I don't want anyone to see in what state I am so I'm covering everything up with saying that I have some stomach problems if someone's asking why do I look so tired 😩.

This morning was too much for me. This crying is making me so tired and I have to stop, otherwise I can't work and I like my job. I realized I have to ask for help, I spoke with my boss and he is willing to adjust my hours, so I can have some more time in the morning to gather up. I am thankful for his support.

I will try to calm down before sleep. I will have a moment of peace for myself when I'm waking up. I hope we will all wake up in at least a bit better moods tomorrow.

Im sorry you're going through this rough patch. But im glad you're figuring your way out and your boss agreeing to make adjustments for you.

Its cathartic to cry. Relieves you.

Sending you lots of healing energy ❤️

Personally, I find mornings difficult, mostly because I suffer with chronic fatigue so I never feel rested and it's so hard to get going when you wake up feeling exhausted, so that makes me miserable. However, my mental health wasn't in a good way for a while and since starting medication and it finally kicking in, I don't feel as awful in the mornings. Increasing my iron and vitamin D levels has also helped me here and there.

I feel similarly to you though about time running out and feeling like you're not doing enough to achieve what you want; it's always there in the back of your mind. I think this likely stems from comparing ourselves to others and their (perceived) successes, so I try to limit social media use. This mindset and the feeling not great in the morning could indicate some depressive symptoms (which I think it did for me) and might be worth speaking to someone or a doctor about to get some support.🫂

Im on med too and my vit d was quite low as well..im on supplement now.

Yes its definitely depression symptom. And thats the kind of thing that just doesnt go away with med. Lifestyle changes are there but most importantly I think work on thoughts is needed. Ive come a long way but of course there is more to be done.

I agree with you 💯 we tend to compare ourselves with others and feel that Im not doing enough. But - I also have another thing going on. I have a couple of goals / dreams and I dont know which one to choose and work upon wholeheartedly and I also need support and guidance about how to achieve those dreams of mine. Both are professionally related.

Thanks for your sharing your insight and story. Its great to have comfort of being together and thanks for helping me think about whats truly bothering me inside. ❤️
