How do you feel when you wake up?
How do you feel when you wake up?
I don't feel good. The peace I had before I slept is all gone. I really have to push myself to do some work and then sleep a bit more and when I get up for the second time Im still feeling terrible. But necessary works have to be done. So I do them with whatever grace I can manage. The mood usually becomes better in a few hours unless there is some argument with or poor treatment received from family or community members.
And at night when I usually write out all these posts Im feeling better. And Im so happy that I got there - but then the sleep comes in and the next morning Im back on the same page.
I think sleep is meant to reset you in a good way. Then why the terrible mood on waking up? Is it subconscious trauma?
Im getting to the root of things. What's going on inside me? I think I feel very strongly that I haven't done enough in life and time is running out and I dont yet have a strategy to achieve my dreams. And maybe this sentiment is pinching me inside.
Anyone has any feedback or anything they can relate to? Would be happy to learn about everyone's morning mood ❤️
@Creamyyy
I'm cranky in the morning.
Hate an early start!
Takes me a while to get into my stride.
Not a people person for a couple of hours, people should evacuate till possibly midday 😂
Until I simmer!
Sleep rejuvenates me but need alot of caffeine before facing the world! 😁

I completely understand how you feel; many people experience this sense of pressure upon waking. It’s natural for your emotions to fluctuate between night and morning, and the important thing is that you recognize it and try to find solutions. Perhaps trying a small morning routine that promotes mental comfort or some simple moments that give you a sense of accomplishment could help improve your mood.
I wish you peace and comfort 💚
Thanks for telling me this fluctuation is natural.
The thing that pushes me to get up is a sense of duty. I can't avoid the responsibility. But inside Im so angry/ disturbed. I push through it..... I think the idea of slowing down might be useful for me to imbibe. Maybe take some pressure off myself of how much I feel I ought to do and keep perspective of what I do accomplish without getting too full of myself.
Its discussions like these that aid you in reflecting and sorting through your mess.
Im seeing your posts around. You seem to be quite a lovely friendly soul here. ♥️
@AdemHope
For a lot of people this is normal, just a suggestion you can get bloods done just to check on yourself and make sure you’re not lacking in anything. I know for me I lack dopamine regulation among many other things that general doctors don’t pick up on I see a kinesiologist and my world has changed.
But just take time for you every day put your feet in grass and just breathe or put on some music and see if any of that helps.
💕
@Creamyyy I too have experienced this a lot
When I wake up, i'm so tired and exhausted that i don't have a good mood or have energy to do things.
I started to breathe (meditate ***) for 10 minutes before sleep and in the days i do that i feel really good when i wake up. I feel i had a good 7 hour sleep, not just waking up feeling it has been 1 second of sleep.
(i did the bird imagination thing to meditate where you imagine yourself as a bird and fly high and feel it)
@Creamyyy it’s nighttime for me. ive had a lot of chronic pain lately and i haven’t been sleeping good. mornings feel ok when the sun is shining but i feel like no one gets me anymore. no friends no one. i feel so misunderstood. the pain is so much i can’t even sleep i survive off caffeine :(
As a lifelong insomniac, usually I'm tired and grumpy that the morning has arrived already.
I always hope I haven't dreamt because I feel drained with it being too real.
Sometimes I'm sore and quickly overwhelmed by the day ahead wondering if I can get it all done before exhaustion takes over.
Typically my brain is chattering away so it gets me motivated to get going.
I don't really eat/drink first thing so eventually when I have, I'm more wired and approachable.
Yeah I can relate.
Eating makes me happy though. After I put in effort to select food items for myself that are enjoyable
@ScrabbleBrain
@Creamyyy That's the way it should be :)
but the Eat when hungry, Stop when full, works better than anything else I've tried.
It does feel good just before bed to let everything go until morning
@Creamyyy
I feel like I partied the night before, without the party. 😂
@creamyyy
I understand completely and you are definitely not alone. I am always tired and grumpy in the early morning.
For me, I end up waking up around 4AM, toss and turn, get fed up and get out of bed. Then I’m just tired throughout the rest of the day and don’t want to be around anyone.
This is almost a daily occurrence for me 😩 I am in shock if I get up past 5:30AM which might be once a month lately
@Creamyyy
O hope you are doing well today.
Im sorry you are going through this, it must be very exhausting and demotivating knowing that the next day you will have to deal with the same thing over and over again.
i think i can help a little, or at least hope i can.
These past few years i have been studying how our bodies and minds work and the power they have in our lives. Did you know there are reports of people that cure diseases and chronical pain with nothing more then their mind? its really incredible.
Now, im not going to give you advise, because what may work for me, may not work for you. But i will share with you some of the things i do to help me sleep better and change my mood when im down.
Due to my recent studies, i am a firm believer that what we think will constantly manifests in our reality.
Before i fall asleep, i usually do my meditation for around 30 minutes to 1 hour.
After that my body and mind are relaxed, and this helps me get a better sleep overall.
But before i sleep, i take sometime to think about all the amaizing things i have in my life and i transition into thinking about what i want my life to look like for the following years.
Doing this every night gives me peace and calmness, and usually the following day i wake up relaxed with a feeling that everything os going to be ok.
Now im not saying this is easy to do, its a habit that needs to be worked on daily and sometimes i dont feel like doing it or have time to do it, but i push my self to do it because i know its going to help me tomorow.
I really think that if we change the way we think and view thing, then we get our desired outcomes.
Let me know if this has helped in anyway 🙂
