How to cry
I am not talking about crying as in acting. Nah. I am talking about how to let out your cries, sometimes when you get used to repressing your emotions like I did. You feel like you are unable to express it anymore. I wanna know a method to help me release all the cries that I have repressed. I am always concerned that I maybe triggered and b
@oliveSailboat5459 Sitting down to write the thoughts out, a certain sentence hits the heart and the tears flow. A particular lyric in a song sounds like the exact reflection of our pain and the tears starts streaming. Thinking about the past and all that we've been through can bring the tears too. I'm so sorry that you had to repress your emotions for so long<3, sorry that you felt the need to hide it all<3 The feeling of not being safe can also trigger the need to repress all that we feel. I hope you find a safe corner for your heart to feel all that you need to feel and that it helps you to let go and heal.
there's also a pressure point under your collarbone near your shoulder that if you massage out should help you cry
@oliveSailboat5459 I just sit down to do my taxes. 😿😹 H&R block is like "you sad bro?" IRS is like, "are you going to cry?" Audit is like "I'll make you cry."
Do saltwater crocodiles, cry freshwater tears? Only if they're truly sorry for what the jury has convicted.
Honesty though, that sounds very tough, sometimes maybe when we're really numb, disassociated, it's hard to express much emotion. I'm sorry you phone is emotionally off the hook, wishing you the strength to process what you're feeling. *hugzies*
@oliveSailboat5459 Some extremely emotional music.. i mean i don't know how to really explain it but for example there's a track they have in a webseries called "this is us".. the song's name is To build a home https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IX3paffDs4
Otherwise check out media depictions of wtv u have repressed.. but try going for long format stuffs like books or webseries or movies so that u get time to get connected to the character.. i suggest u do check out the trigger warnings for this one..
Another tip would be to write whatever u are feeling about on a piece of paper. If u need guidance on what to write search for prompts relating to wtv u have repressed and answer those.. Now imagine the person u love the most having written that and gone through that.. Imagine hearing it in their voice.. how would that make u feel?
Sometimes we do go through bad stuff and repress it as our body and mind think we arent in a safe environment and we need to be in survival mode.. so maybe try to make urself feel like u are safe to start unpacking ur feelings and you are allowed to feel them and work through them..
Its okay to feel the depths of ur emotion, no matter ur age, ur gender, ur identity, ur culture, ur responsibilities; its okay to cry. You ve been really strong for real long

To be honest, I prefer converting the irresistible urge of crying into a kind of propelling power that keeps driving me forward, because I am convinced that positive drastic changes in our lives can only be delivered from the horrific darkness of the womb of sadness.
@oliveSailboat5459feel sense of safety, it comes out all at once c,:

This post is so validating! I also can't cry anymore because I spent a lifetime repressing it. I notice I am able to cry with happy stuff instead like when I think about how happy my loved one's make me or about something so pure like an animal.
