About two months ago my best friend left me. She was only my online friend but my literal everything, my only friend. She was the reason i kept living. Everything was normal between us, no Fights, nothing, but she grew distant, I asked her why but she never actually gave me an explaination, just saying that the friendship wont work out anymore (in other words). I know that its not because of her personal problems cause she still talks normally to all of her other friends, and I just dont know what I did wrong... Those past two months been been ***, i cant stop thinking abt her, i cant stop rereading every little thing, looking at all of her accounts. I cry every night, i cant get her out of my head, shes even in my dreams. I cant find an reason to live, it has been one of the worst depressive episode i had lately. I want her back so badly, but I just dont know how, cause she doesnt wanna talk. Since the day that she said that the friendship doesnt work anymore she only texted once wich was a merry christmas message, i thanked her, she didnt respond. But wich is weird that she lately likes my stories, wich she didnt do even once after we stopped talking, i thought it might be a sign that she wants to talk again, that's why i sent her a happy new years text, but she didnt react to it at all, not even a thank you, but still kept liking my stories. I'm so confused, what is it that she wants? It genuinely makes me so sick, ive been feeling so bad. I really dont know what to do.

Thanks for reading, and thanks to anyone who might give me advice on my Situation 🤍🙏

@Justnotleooo

I'm so sorry she treated you like this.

It's not a reflection on you.

So please don't think that.

Ghosting sadly is so common now and people just disappearing and not having the courtesy to atleast explain why, or taking any accountability .

It's all too easy for people to pretend.

And this is hurting real people.

You deserved so much better than what she gave you.

I would cut all contact if it were me, give myself some space to heal and only have friends who gave you the sand energy back that you deserve 💚

Thank you for your kind words 🙏

I really wish i had the strength to cut all contact, but I was so attached, i cant bring myself to do it, and as i dont really have other friends it makes it even harder, i just feel so lost and like i will never get over it

@Justnotleooo

I understand it's harder when you have no other friends, and it's lonely, but it's lonelier reaching out to someone who has disrespected you. You can make new friends here 💚

I know how this feels because I have been through it. You have asked for advice so I will say some.

  1. Please make settings such that she can't interact with your content on social media. I unfriended that person. There is no need for greetings if there is no relationship left. Being in a confused state will trouble you a lot so best to remove that.

  2. We want control subconsciously. This situation is absolutely out of control. If someone refuses to communicate, there is nothing you can do. Take your time. Feel whatever you do. Don't rush to accepting. It takes time.

  3. I know it feels like end of the world. There will be so many questions. So many things become meaningless. But, it shall pass. I remember a therapist once say - humans are resilient no matter what they think. You can and you will survive it.

  4. Your every feeling and thought is valid. A friendship breakup cuts deeper than a divorce.

  5. Do not isolate yourself. Can happen with me. Take a path of least resistance. Find the least uncomfortable social setting and be around other people. For example, a heritage walk, movie with colleagues. Something suitable for you

  6. Building a support system takes time. I personally feel the same way that I don't have friends, especially when I am low. Keep at it slowly. Find out what your support system/ support group should look like, then find ways to create it. Friends are scarce and rare. Try platforms where you can meet like-minded people.

I hope it helps. I don't know how can we chat on this app but I am here if you want to talk. Take care! One day you will be ok with it.

Hello justnotleooo,

I understand what you're going through. I had a couple friends from grade school to high school and they grew distant too. It's not a good feeling. It's grief. Losing a friend is heartbreaking, so it's normal for you to be feeling upset about this ❤️

I want to say that with time, life changes a lot, I made new best friends and life got even better. Even though it is sad to lose a best friend right now, there are even better best friends waiting in your future 🙏

I hope this made you feel better about the situation
