I don't think I'm okay

Actually I know I'm not okay. And I don't know when i started feeling this way, I just know it hasn't ended. I feel sick, in an uneasy way, like when you know something bad is going to happen. And I'm anxious most of the time. I don't know why, I wish I did. When did life get so hard... Is it weird to find talking to friends an obligation? I wish there was a way to fix this feeling I have. I want to get a therapist but my parents can't afford it, I should probably get a job. But I really don't want to put any effort into that, or anything in that matter. I'm just tired all the time. I'm really tired. I keep waking up super early like at 3am, and I keep on having weird dreams that I hardly remember. I don't know why I'm writing this. Maybe for attention I guess but that sounds really greedy, and selfish. Maybe I'm just an attention seeker like my dad and brother say, that would be funny, i don't know why, it just would. Actually I might be going insane, because I have nothing to do for the rest of the week. And I just realized I wrote a lot, I mean who is reading this anyways, I feel like no one really cares unless you're about to hurt yourself or smth. I'm tired and my head hurts again so I'm going to bed. I'm going ice skating with a friend trmw and hopefully it will put me in better spirits, at the very least, I'll pretend to be in better spirits.

You mustn't pretend.

It's hard to want to interact when you are not in a good place.

Everything can feel like a Chore.

But your feelings matter.

And it's important to reset and give yourself time to feel more like you 🩵

People care whether you are in crisis or not. You don't have to be close to doing something drastic for people to notice that you need help and to want to give it to you.

Just look to the responses you've already received here as proof of that.

It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to feel lost, hopeless, or overwhelmed. It's okay to pretend sometimes in order to get yourself through.

I get the sense there's a lot of frustration and anger about feeling the way that you do, which is perfectly understandable, but it isn't helping you in the end.

Don't beat yourself up. Let yourself get through whatever it is that's making you feel this way.

Good luck, stay strong, you're gonna be alright.

Look, the way you’re feeling right now a lot of people go through the same thing. So first, understand this: you’re not alone.

Now try to understand one thing there comes a phase in everyone’s life when they feel like this. When you feel really low, or when you feel lazy and drained, try to look at people who are in worse situations than you but are still working and moving forward.

For example, someone who has lost the use of a hand is still working. Someone battling cancer is still fighting and living their life. That helps you realize that life isn’t always how it appears to us. Some people are in worse conditions than you and are still managing to stay strong.

I’m not making fun of your problem. I’m just trying to show you that sometimes what we think is a huge problem… might not be as big as it feels in our mind.

I know what you’re feeling is painful and uncomfortable. But to gain control over it, you need to shift your perspective and that’s why I’m suggesting this.

You’ve done great expressing yourself and reaching out for support, I’m proud of you and it will all be ok in time. It’s ok to not be ok. I’m sorry it’s so difficult. But you’re precious and the community here is here for you. Sending all my care 🦋

It's OK to not be OK. Everybody feels that way more often than not. It's just not discussed often. I've only been here for a few days. I came cause I wasnt feeling well. You're in good hands here. You're in a safe and caring place. Follow the suggestions and learn to become grateful for your blessings. Think small and act big. It's about progress, not perfection. You'll learn to love yourself again. It's a process, not an immediate gratification.

From what you describe, it sounds like you're dealing with a constant state of alertness along with emotional exhaustion, possibly connected to different things happening in your life, whether they’re current or from the past that haven’t fully settled yet.

Dreams can sometimes be the mind’s way of releasing built up emotions like sadness, anger, uncertainty, or stress.

What really matters is that you’re able to recognize how you feel and that you’re trying to express it. That’s already a very important step. It’s also a good thing that you're trying to do activities that might help you feel a little better.

Just keep this in mind: you don’t have to force yourself to be okay, and you don’t have to pretend either. That only makes things more exhausting. Try not to pressure yourself to socialize too much; everyone has their own pace and social energy. Give yourself time to breathe and just be present.

You are a valuable and important person. Don’t minimize what you feel. If you feel it, it matters. And you can talk about whatever you need you’re not alone 🫂
