I’m Lonely… Talk to Me?
I’m putting out a similar post to what others have made recently… Struggling a bit, requesting someone to talk to and distract me… The nights are harder than the days. My texts are silent, 7Cups is silent, I’m bored and lonely, and on the less-good days, my mind wanders into a deep depression. Today, I’m ok, just feeling a bit lonely, no one to talk to… None of my friends are texting me back and the forums are too quiet for me… Talk to me about anything? Random topics, stories, games, news, things going on in your life, tell me about that pretty bug you saw outside today, I don’t care what it is, just keep me company. Not just tonight, but in general. Life gets lonely over here…
No creepy or weird conversations, please. Just good conversation, make me think, let me find new friends, etc. Recommend good kids’ and YA books, tell me about good shows and movies on Netflix, come up with random ideas for icebreakers I can make, tell me about fun things you learned at school, suggest a new hobby, ask me questions, get to know me <3 Anything goes. Random is fun! <3

Nah, I never decorate. But I did finish phase 3 of my Christmas cards today! I’m so proud of myself because that takes away a lot of the stress :)

I started a new hobby a couple of weeks ago. Tying flies (which despite its name it doesn't involve actually tying flies to anything) probably not something you would get into but hey it might be fun 😜
What about making decorations for Halloween? And Christmas is just right around the corner. What about decorations for that? Popsicle Christmas trees and snowmen? Well ok maybe that's weird. How about a construction paper aquarium? With little plants and fish and turtles?

Twistedsoul, l once owned a pet shop in a "rough" area of town. I wasn't comfortable with handling a gun, instead got to attack trained German Shepherds that lay behind the counter quietly.
Once, a huge guy came in and pushed past me through the little swinging door and began grabbing my cash register, my two dogs stood up with deep rumbling growls! He looked over, put the cash register back down, and slowly backed out of the shop! I was smiling the whole time. If l would have said, "Eat Him Up", he would have had a really bad day! Lol, but they wouldn't attack unless l told them. That was the only time they came in handy other than companionship.

So our esteemed friend is feeling lonely and at a bit of a loss for something to occupy her time it seems. Well, challenge accepted. Let's see if I am up to the task of providing some potentially interesting distractions;
A new hobby to try; contact juggling. All you need is a ball (a heavier one is better than a lighter one, but a tennis ball would work, or even an orange. You can practise it virtually anywhere, even sitting down.
Don't fancy giving that a try? Well how about a few reading suggestions then; Redwall by Brian Jacques (anthropomorphic woodland creatures defending their companions against the marauding vermin horde led by the cruel on eyed rat, Cluny the Scourge!), Soul Music by Terry Practhett (A young harpist journeys to the big city and ends up embroiled in fantastical events as he become part of the Band with Rocks in it), The Twelve and the Genii by Pauline Clark (a young boy finds a box of toy soliders that once belonged to the Brontes, and soon finds out they are alive!), The Mirrorstone by Michael Palin (a very short children's illustrated, but with themes aimed at YA. It is a beautiful book, magnificently illustrated (and with a very unusual addition of holographic images as part of the illustrations).
Hmmm, not after a read? How about some odd tv series or films to past the time...why not try something from the following; The Mighty Boosh, Misfits, The Princess Bride, Legend, Hocus Pocus, Life is Beautiful, Lady in the Water, The Shape of Water, School of Chocolate, or even series Black Books.
All this thinking of ideas has made my simple brain overheat. I feel flushed, and I can almost see steam rising from my ears....wait..i CAN see steam!! oh, it's okay...false alarm...it was the kettle. That will teach me not to put my laptop on the kitchen sideboard.

I did not know there was a Princess Bride book (though it makes a lot of sense, considering Peter Falk is reading the book as he relates the tale in the film to his grandchild). Thank you for letting me know, it is very much appreciated. *Smiles gratefully*

Yes, contact juggling is indeed different from normal juggling. It normally involves only one ball, usually a clear 'crystal' sphere (made out of dense acrylic) which the juggler manipulates in such a way to make it look as if the ball is moving weightlessly around their body of in the air. (In the Labyrinth, the main villain Jareth performs this skill throughout the film).
I did not know there was a Redwall movie, so it shall have to be you who tells me if it is better than the book *Smiles*
I can only wonder at what inspires your vehemence at The Princess Bride. But I full understand that everyone has their own tastes and preferences. If we all liked the same thing...well, that thing would probably run out pretty quickly. So it is lucky we have manifold favourites.
Life is Beautiful. It is hard to imagine anything that demonstrates it so well as being so achingly true.

Shamrock, Shay,l can play a piano like nobody's business, but a guitar is an absolute mystery to me. Your wrist all bent in a weird position. Guitarists blow my mind. Keep leaning, girls love guitar players! Piano players more likely to come off as nerdy, l know this from experience! Hahaha
