Injuries can take you out of both your activities as well as your mentalities.
First, hi. I'm new here and really willing to talk to anyone wanting to know more or looking for support.
I was recently injured due to overworking my back for my sport, which has limited by ability to progress or keep my current fitness levels for the past month. My parents both don't believe it's that big an issue, but my physical therapist says it could get worse. I've been led to believe this is somehow spiritual, but I've been a little lost in my faith recently. This injury sprawls other concerns, however.
I used to be close with many on my team, but now, I've been isolated due to my injury and not being able to exercise like I used to. It's agonizing, seeing all of my friends surpass me on workouts that I want to do next to them also. I feel left out and this injury doesn't feel any better. My overall mood and morale lowers with each time I go to practice, just to sit in an opposite corner to not be able to workout with my team.
This, ideally, should teach you self-motivation, right? Wrong. It has only shown me my dependency of others so far, and how much I really miss being involved. I'm really lost in what to do right now because no solution really makes sense. I feel like my schoolwork doesn't even seem as hard as trying to find a solution for this.

Welcome to seven cups 💜 🥰
I'm sorry to hear you had an injury.
It is hard to go to having the support and community of a team, to doing it alone.
But it's important to know, that slow progress is still progress.
And you will come right and get back to doing what you love best 🥰
@Phoenix221 I'm injured right now too, but it's actually chronic illnesses that I have had a long time that make me relate to the altered social connections.
It's very difficult as our shared experiences often form a big part of our connection to others. So on top of the injury and the loss of physical abilities you have also lost somr continuing shared experiences - at least for now.
Are you able to focus on other ways to connect with your teammates while you heal?
It might also be good to connect to other athletes who are healing from an injury. You can support one another and share current experiences your teammates are going through currently.
