When you feel jealousy rising, what’s one thing you tell yourself to stay grounded?

How do you handle it without letting it control your mood?

@SimplyCompassionate

i usually try to focus on myself. when we get jealous of others it'll make us look like side characters or villains in their story. so i would shift my focus to where i become the main character in mine.

a bit similar to the previous reply, but I kind of just try to remind myself that wow yes that person is good at what they do or look good or whatever. But I’m also good at what I do? Remind myself that they couldn’t do what I do and I couldn’t do what they do?

Idk if you mean more relationships jealousy, for that i just remind myself that this person chose me for a reason and if i lose myself in jealousy or insecurity, i lose them too?

Idk obviously it’s always a struggle, but (as cliche as it sounds) we’re not all meant to be the same person. We’re all our own individuals.

I tell myself I am different and unique in my own way so being jealous about someone else means I am not proud of myself.

@SimplyCompassionate

I remind myself that jealousy doesn't help you achieve anything valuable. It's a negative experience. So instead it's best to do things that can add more value to me!
