Lack of friendship is unbelievable
Last night I was feeling chronically lonely again. As I was talking to a listener. I get the impression that my situation is almost unbelievable to most. The fact that people don't want to be in touch with me. But it is really true people don't want to be in touch with me. And because of that, I keep sinking. I keep getting slowly worse. I can't pick myself up from my own bootstraps. I had one person say to me, "the only person who can fix you is you". I've heard that many times. It hurts every time I hear it. Now days when someone says that to me, I either tell them that I won't talk to them anymore, or I will block them. It all depends on what the website I'm on will let me do. Because I consider it to be a lie from h*ll. If we all could fix ourselves then there would be no need for doctors, therapy, or community.
I feel that as long as I have ADHD, it makes me into someone everyone will hate someday.
@tryingtosurvive2024 What do you think it is about your ADHD that people don’t like?
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas of course it effects people a little differently. But I think it does something to my body language, and I don't think I catch the subtle warning signs that people are feeling uncomfortable around me. So they turn on me and it comes as a total surprise. ☹️
@PiecesOfWhoeverIWas It is very confusing because it seems like it is just such subtle little things, that they are making a big big big deal out of. It's not like you are being mean to them. In fact to make things even more confusing, the people I have trouble with, are often rude to me. So it's ok for them to be rude, and expect me to put up with it, and they can't take my subtler neurological issues? Feels hypocritical to me.
Last night was chatting with a listener. Things were going ok, until the end. We got to talking about my ADHD and how it might be effecting me socially, and why it might be the reason why people turn on me. I felt so hopeless that I went to be bed sad. ☹️
Hey, bud! You there?
@Pinkypromise3
This gif is from an old comedy police show called Car 54. The opening theme song ends with it saying "Car 54 Where are you?" He's one of the policemen.
Theme song: Car 54 Where Are You?
There's a holdup in the Bronx!
Brooklyn's broken out in fights!
There's a traffic jam in Harlem that's backed up to Jackson Heights!
There's a scout troop short a child!
Krushchev's due at Idlewild!
Car 54, where are you?

I swear I thought I wrote this at some point and I was really confused. But then I reached the end and I said “oh no, it’s someone else!”. 😅
I disgustingly relate to that loneliness you’re referring to. I’m honestly surprised not only to have found you, but to see so many people find this situation relatable. It’s so hard to find people who can understand because they’re experiencing the exact same situation. Whenever I’m trying to talk about it, people either don’t believe me or they’re “oh same” but it really isn’t the same.
Hi though!
@Random28 it is nice to meet you! 😊
@tryingtosurvive2024 it's very nice to meet you too!
I totally understand you. I live alone for a long time. I have some friends, not many, but often I feel like I have none. As they all have their own lives and when I feel like reaching out to someone, I actually have no one to reach out as I feel they will reply to my message in a few hours or tomorrow and I will feel even worse. So I feel bad all by myself as I always do. So.. even though it's not anything helpful, sorry about that, I just want you to know that you're not alone who feels that way.

Same! I can relate to so much. Loneliness is a taboo because by opinion of society people cannot be lonely. Society dont accept and discriminates lonely people. Nobody wants to be with lonely person because there is something wrong with them. Everybody wants to a good friend but are not ready to be one.
