Looking for Some Encouragement💭
Hi everyone, I’m reaching out because I could really use some words of encouragement. Life has been tough, and I’m trying to find my way forward.
I’ve been working on healing from a difficult relationship while also figuring out who I am outside of it. For a long time, I put my needs second, and now I’m learning how to prioritize myself—but it’s hard. Some days I feel strong, and other days, I feel overwhelmingly sad and lonely. I miss my ex a lot, and even though I know taking this time for myself is the right thing, it doesn’t stop the pain of missing him.
I’m also dealing with anxiety around work and finding my independence, which feels overwhelming at times. I know growth isn’t linear, but I could use some reassurance that I’m on the right path.
Aw @Priscella offering you a big hug!
I want to acknowledge how incredibly brave you are for sharing your feelings and for the work you're doing on yourself. Healing from a difficult relationship is a journey that takes time and courage, and it’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions along the way. Missing your ex is a part of that process, you've spent time and emotions into something, and it’s okay to allow yourself to feel sad sometimes. It doesn’t diminish your strength, it just shows how deeply you’ve loved and how hooman you are, I feel.
Prioritizing yourself is a monumental step, and even though it feels hard right now, every small action you take toward self-care and self-discovery is a testament to your growth. Remember, it’s okay to have days when you feel like you are healing and days when you don’t. They’re all part of your journey, and each day is a new opportunity to learn more about who you are.
As for your anxiety around work and independence, it’s understandable to feel overwhelmed. Many people experience this, especially when they’re in a period of transition. Trust that with each step you take, you’re moving closer to the life you envision for yourself. You’re not alone in this, and it’s perfectly okayyy to seek support when you need it, I'm proud of you for sharing here!
Keep believing in yourself and the progress you’re making, even if it feels small. You are worthy of love and happiness, and you have the strength within you to navigate this path, I believe. Take it one day at a time, and be gentle with yourself. You are doing better than you think, and brighter days are ahead, hopefully! 💛
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou you are doing great take time heal we are here for you
It's okay for it to take time. It's easy to think that just because it's over you should be able to hit the ground running and move past it all. Reality is different for most. Especially if you really cared for and let ved the person. It's okay to keep life ving them BTW, even if from afar. You can still have good thoughts and good memories.
It's only natural that the separation would leave you feeling lonely and desiring the best of what you had together. It takes time for the realities to set in and that timeline is yours and yours alone.
Practice self care, holistically and do interesting things, and listened to music and see or do art. Do things that bring pleasure even if it's just lighting a candle and watching the flame flicker for a few minutes or making a cup of tea. Live life well and health ng will come.
@Priscella Hey dear, I am dropping these thoughts with you, there will always be sunshine after a dark cloud, Hang in there.
You are doing great we are here for you. Be happy 😃 take time to heal
I'm glad you reached out for support. I think it is great that you are aware, feeling your feelings, and letting the process unfold. None of that is easy to do and takes real courage. Glad you are here!
Thank you for opening your heart—your honesty and vulnerability are incredibly powerful, and I want you to know that simply sharing your feelings is a courageous act of healing.
What you’re going through is not just difficult—it’s transformational. You are not just surviving; you are growing through the storm. The fact that you are learning to prioritize yourself after years of putting others first is something to celebrate, even if it feels unfamiliar or painful at times. Healing isn’t a straight road—it’s messy, nonlinear, and sometimes it feels like one step forward, two steps back. But every step is progress.
Missing someone doesn't mean you're not strong. It means you have a heart capable of deep connection. It’s okay to miss them and still choose yourself. That duality—of feeling sad yet moving forward—is what strength really looks like.
Your anxiety around work and independence is valid too. You’re stepping into a new version of yourself, and that takes so much inner power. The fear you're feeling is not a sign of weakness—it's a sign you're breaking out of old patterns and into something greater.
So here’s your reassurance: You are absolutely on the right path. The fact that you’re asking these questions, doing this work, and showing up for yourself is proof. You are not lost—you are becoming.
Keep going. You are more capable, more resilient, and more radiant than you realize. And on days when it feels heavy, just remember—healing isn’t about never falling; it’s about always choosing to rise again.
I believe in you. Let yourself bloom.
You most definitely are on the right path. I can really identify with and resonate with much of what you have said! Hugs 💕

@Priscella
It is really so brave to openly share these deep feelings. You are not alone. Healing and detachment take time; it is a daily process that pulls hard on your heart and mind, but you take it one day and one step. The days you will cry, the memories and flashes. It is a hard walk, and sometimes no one may understand the deep feelings, but just know you are doing it hard, but doing it bravely anyway. You are brave, and soon, it will all be a memory. One day at a time. Allow yourself to feel everything you feel. All your feelings are valid.
