That kind of heartbreak always leave a mark. I think it is always okay to protect ourselves when we feel that way. That always doesn't mean that we will never feel the love again. I feel that. the love we have would always guide someone who choose to stay.

It’s always best to learn from loving and failing. As they say it’s better to have loved and lost than not loved at all.
When heart breaks are being dealt with cold shoulders to people. The paranoia increases and everyone who comes into your Life is put under crosshairs and scrutinised. This can sometimes make you loose the person who was meant for you.
People who are reading your msg and agreeing with you, also will continue this feeling of pain and distrust for a long time.
The challenge is to fall down and get up and be willing to be vulnerable to fall again. That doesn’t make you weak but shows that you ain’t afraid to fall, so I would say let the bitterness run down and then see life for the beauty it has to offer.
