Random
This is really random, but does anyone else ever go on here and then feel that their problem doesn't matter? Like mine isn't even that bad, it makes me feel like I'm overreacting. Others are going through so much worse! My thing is barely an issue and more of me just being childish and not coming up with a solution myself. It makes me feel selfish that I take up people's time to talk about my issue even though they could be helping someone who needs it more.
Yeah actually i feel that way too, that others problem are much bigger than mine but i think that's not the point if my problem is bigger or smaller than others. I think we have to find the solution sometime we can't do it alone so asking for help is not bad.
Everyone’s problems matter, no matter how big or small 😊
@SunnyFox207 (sorry, bad English) (I am sorry if this sounds offensive) well I often feel like that too. But like, our feelings matter. And whatever happens, our feelings are our feelings so. Even if somebody's situation is worse, it doesn't mean that our own feelings should be ignored. Then making our problems seem not much of a bad thing just makes it worse. As then we might deny our own problems and feelings. In that case, if we do not deal with the problem, not learn how to cope with the problem. I personally think our ways of thinking might not change.
But then whoever's reading deserves to be cared for. Even if they'd done a bad thing or thinks they're overreacting to things.
Great comment! I agree.

Hey I'm sorry you feel that way, it seems like your problems were ignored as a child saying you were upset at small things. So now you see your problems the same way. Same happened with me. But you have such a nice heart to feel others emotions and consider them as worthy of compassion. That doesn't mean you are less deserving of compassion and love, I read somewhere which I wrote down in my notebook and read often- "Love is not a finite resource and there is enough for everyone" Much love to you dear friend, I'm feeling lonely for some reason <3
Honestly, as a Listener I can tell you that every problem matter. What makes you feel any type of way does matter.
We do not “waste time” talking with you, because we are here for this and we are only glad you reach out. :) you do not need to feel guilt, at times we need to talk to someone else to find our path for any reason and that’s okay.
Big or small everyone needs to be heard
I can totally see why you may feel this! However, I've personally come to believe that any problem no matter how little or big matters. And that we shouldn't define the severity of it because it is just as valid as any other problem. Especially because we all have unique expierences and we all react differently to them. Our issues, obstacles, and/or "problems" should not be seen as a competitive sport.
I hope this makes sense!

An analogy I spent a long time learning was that if one person was to drown in 2m of water it doesnt make it any less tragic than someone who drowned in 10m of water. Struggles affect us all differently and comparing yourself to others isnt fair to you!
I work with one of those people who always says "it could always be worse" when someone is talking about their struggles. This person is always trying to make you feel better by downplaying your problem to the point where it sometimes get annoying. I believe that while there is nothing wrong with that line of thinking and always being grateful for what you do have, downplaying or invalidating someones problems, or even your own, by comparing them to others, isn't the answer. Never invalidate the thoughts or feelings of someone, including yourself, just because others in a similar situation have it worse. There are too many factors involved to compare ourselves others. As I sit here and write this, I will be the first to tell you that I still compare my issues and do the "it could be worse" thing and feel bad when reaching out....but, after a lifetime of living that way, at 51, I'm trying real hard to change that, for my own emotional and mental well being, and teach myself that, despite how small they may seem, my feelings, problems, and issues are valid and matter.
