Self-love isn't always confidence
Self-love isn't always confidence.
Self-love isn't about thinking you're perfect. It's about accepting yourself through the good days and the difficult ones, speaking to yourself with kindness, and choosing growth over self-criticism.
I mean the way we treat ourselves often shapes how we experience the world around us.

💌 - What's one small act of self-love you've practiced recently? Or would love to start?
@LoveHashira
It’s actually very true in the way that people who are more confident in their skin and self sufficient don’t envy others who may be doing better than them in some way or another.
Wishing well for others is an underrated sign of a person who is confident and filled with compassion for self, I feel! 💛
A self love practice id like to return to is journaling.
How about youuu?🌻
Aww, I love that perspective 😊!
Being genuinely happy for others often comes from a place of inner peace and self-acceptance. It's such a beautiful quality, and definitely underrated <3
@LoveHashira
I always back myself because if you don't, then you'll allow others to determine your worth for you 💛

Aww, that's my GURL. 🤗
I love that mindset. I actually learned it from you <3 When we know our own worth, we're less likely to hand that responsibility over to other people's opinions. Self-belief doesn't mean never doubting yourself but it means choosing to stand by yourself even when those doubts show up. 🌻
You are incredibly amazing. Thank you for reflecting 😊.

@LoveHashira For me, it's silencing and dismissing "those" talks. I'm sure some people will know what I'm talking about. But seriously, dismissing them when they creep in my mind and telling myself "Now Desiree you know better than to believe that nonsense." I suppose, it's me speaking kind to myself even when I'm not actually speaking to myself out loud.
I really like that, Desiree 🤗! It sounds like you've learned to challenge those thoughts instead of automatically believing them(that's where i struggle honestly. Hehe) That quiet moment of saying, "I know better than that," is a powerful act of self-respect and self-compassion. Sometimes self-love isn't about adding positive thoughts, but it's about refusing to give power to the unhelpful ones. 🌻

I literally try to focus on become better both emotionally and physically. I practice gratitude which really helps as well. What about you? How do you help yourself and show self care and self love?
I love that 😊. Focusing on becoming better emotionally and physically is such a worthwhile investment in yourself, and gratitude can be incredibly grounding <3
For me, self-care often looks like giving myself permission to rest when I need it, celebrating small wins instead of only focusing on big goals, and being patient with myself when things don't go as planned. Self-love is also reminding myself that growth isn't always linear, some days are about progress, and some days are simply about showing up 🌻 :)
Thank you for sharing 🤗.
