So tired of not liking myself
I have struggled for years with my self esteem. Not liking the way I look and not thinking I'm good enough. Especially when it comes to my weight. I've been overweight my whole life and I came to the conclusion about a year or so ago that I have a food addiction and am prone to binge eating. I went on a low carb and low sugar diet last year and lost a little over 20 pounds. I had way more to go but I ended up getting off track and have gained back at least 10 lbs what I lost and I'm so disappointed and frustrated with myself. I just cannot control myself and it comes to eating. I definitely addicted to junk food and I don't know how to change that. I'm so ashamed to be overweight and being overweight makes me feel like I'm not worthy.
@catbrat I'm really sorry you're feeling this way, I want you to know, you're not alone 🤍 and I can relate a lot with you. I've always been overweight for my age.
The fact that you lost so much weight last year matters. It shows that you're capable of doing so again ❤️ but this time you'll have more experience than your previous self 🤍 and please try to be gentle with yourself ❤️
You truly deserve love and kindness and your looks or appearance don't define you. You're worthy of love just the way you are ❤️ and when it comes to losing weight don't do it for others, but for yourself. 🤍
You're awesome <3 and you matter 🤍 try not to be too hard on yourself, okay?
Sending lots of love your way! 💕
Hello Catbrat:
Food can become an addiction and addictions are hard to overcome. That sucks. But you need to know that you are not your food addiction. You are a sensitive soul and you deserve to be loved and to love yourself as you are. Be kind to yourself and have compassion for yourself. Best wishes. ❤️

Ultimately shame won't help but block your growth. It doesn't matter how many times someone tells us we are beautiful as we are, we need to feel it within for ourselves. This starts with setting achievable daily goals to allow you to feel better about yourself and build up your confidence. Positive affirmations until you believe them. You matter, and your worth is not determined by your weight 💜💕
I’m so sorry that you’re feeling so bad about yourself. You shouldn’t. You should know that you are beautiful, no matter the weight or size. I know telling yourself that you’re beautiful is a lot harder than actually knowing you’re beautiful, but truly, you are. When it comes to food, you should find things that will help you when you feel like you just want to shut down and eat. For example: Try listening to music! I have this song by Meghan Trainor Called “All About That Bass” :) .. i relate to it very well and you might too. You should give it a listen.
I know that may not seem like something that’ll work but if you can replace those negative thoughts in your head that’s making you feel like you can’t change because of your disorder, you’ll feel so much better. That negativity is causing fear and anxiety; and that anxiety is pushing you more into your disorder than you may realize. Find an positive outlet.
I want you to love yourself. You are beautiful inside and out.
There is nothing to be ashamed of, honey! You are beautiful the way you are. You are surviving in this world - what other proof do you want of your resilience?
Happy and resilient people are THE most attractive people in the world!
