***TW*** I Completed a Video Game… Useless.

I completed a video game I’ve been playing occasionally for a couple of decades or so… Achievement Unlocked, by Armor Games. I’ve never beaten it.

I beat it, just now.

And you know what?

It’s pointless. Useless.

Who cares if I beat a game??

What difference does it make?

People are d****g all over the world.

People are trapped in slavery.

I can’t even fix my own mental health.

My brain is so broken and numb and I’m just useless trash.

So this “achievement”? It means NOTHING.

I haven’t helped anyone like I used to. Served or volunteered or anything.

I just… exist.

Pass time.

Waiting for nothing to happen.

Trying to survive constant trauma and pain.

This is one of the only things I’ve accomplished lately.

And it’s garbage.

You are absolutely not useless trash!

I hate to see the negative views you have of yourself!

They are not true!

I’m sorry, maybe I shouldn’t write about my feelings anymore.

@jesusredeemedme2425

You absolutely should write about them and get them off your chest, but I just want you to know and see what I see 💖

No. I keep being told I shouldn’t feel “x” way. But I do. I just shouldn’t tell anyone anymore.

@jesusredeemedme2425

There's a difference between someone telling you what qualities you have and what you mean to them. It's not the same thing, as telling you not to feel what you feel 💖

Maybe its your turn to receive love. Do you always have to be a giver? 🙂

Love you 💛

Hey , take it easy on yourself❤️ , yes , people are suffering , but this life is merely a test , a stepping stone for the afterlife. It's not your fault that the world is like this and it's not your job to fix alll of it ESPECIALLY when you're sttuggling yourself! , Just take small steps to care for yourself and others.

even getting a game achievement works : )

(P.s : armor games was my childhood , I had no idea it's still up? so thanks for that)

In the grand scheme of things, yeah, completing a game could be seen as pointless. However, playing video games is simply a fun past time and can be a crucial distraction from the realities of life. If you enjoyed yourself, then is it really pointless?

Heyyy ❤️✨

I get that. Sometimes when you remember about all the bad things that happen around you, you feel like your own happiness is somewhat... A crime. Or useless. We get upset seeing bad things happen that aren't in our control. ...and guess what? That's okay. 🖤🤍🖤

It only turns a tinsy tiny bit 🤏🏻 not okay, when we forget, it's not something in our control, and start mistaking it as our fault to not have done anything about it, and feeling guilty because of that, instead of the simple fact that it's not in our control. And guess what? That can happen too, to a lot of people too, to me too somedays, and to you too right now? 🙃

Still, don't forget to look at the good stuff in life. And even crazier, I'll say, don't forget to look at these bad stuff too— cause happiness and sadness come one after another, and that balance is important. And guess what? 😏 Balance between balance and imbalance itself is important too. (I don't know what that means, I made it up, it sounds cool and I don't have enough shame to not mention it.)

I know, I know, I'm annoying, you can give me virtual kills if you want 🔪 just don't give any to yourself for stuff that isn't yours to deal with. You try as much as you have in yourself, and that's enough 💗

Your struggles are your own, just like everyone else's are theirs. It's not fair on yourself to use the argument, "But others are suffering more, so why should I matter?" - No. That isn't how pain, suffering, and struggling works. It isn't how mental health as a whole works, so be kind to yourself and don't burden your shoulders with an impossible weight.

It doesn't matter if the game "means anything" - it's still something you spent time on. Still a part of your personal history, part of the last two decades.

Accomplishments come in all shapes and forms. The internet has unfortunately made a lot of us believe we need to change the world or save lives to make a difference, for our actions to MEAN anything - but that isn't true, either.

You can make small differences in little ways. Be the first smile someone sees on their day, reach out to a friend and have a catch-up - or even just spend a little time playing videogames, just for your own sake and relaxation.

Most importantly, don't feel guilty for "just existing" - that's all a lot of us are doing. I stand by the saying: life's about the journey, not the destination.

I've felt this way about completing a game before... Particularly ones that ive already beaten.

It's not a fun rabbit hole to get into what's worthwhile and what's not though.

Like, yeah, people are d***g, but it's just as big a shame when people can't feel like they're living.

But, before I get into that, you know what's just as worthwhile as making a difference? Training. You might not be able to quantify what a mindless game teaches you, but you'd often be surprised. That goes for pretty much everything. If it can serve you some happiness or serve you some kind of challenge, then why shouldn't it be worth it?

Also, don't forget that I'm a huge gamer. 😊 I wouldnt be as interesting or capable without video games. They've made me who I am probably as much as my parents have. I'm lucky that so much of my upbringing was that fun. We're all lucky to be able to play, whatever we can, whenever we can.

You make a good point. Somethings arent as meaningless as they appear. I watch a lot of dance numbers, and I used to shame myself on it because it seemed to be a waste of time, but it's actually quite helpful. All the joy I receive rewires something in my brain; it fuels both my drive and creativity.
